i do love the kindness in scott mccall and i don't think it's anticlamatic at all. i do think there's a point to be made about the need of love, kindness and empathy in this world correlating with how his pack is the only one standing against all odds.
i also may give a bit too much credit to the teen wolf's writers, but i don't think he was out of character in season 5. what theo did, what he managed to do, scared him. scott has been close to dying multiple times and his pack have been hurt before. it's not that that got scott to let theo be dragged in the ground, despite his instincts screaming to help the now vulnerable chimera begging him.
it was the fact that theo drove a rift between them. he succeeded in making scott turn against stiles, he tricked malia, he made them trust him and then dug his claws in lydia's mind, he turned liam against scott and then killed him. he didn't hurt the pack with violence, but with words. and he used scott's goodness to do that.
scott blamed himself. every time he saw theo, he was reminded how it was his fault this time that his pack has been hurt. how he couldn't fight this enemy, because he couldn't recognize him to be an enemy.
so it wasn't malice that made him stay in place when theo died. wasn't hatred or revenge for him. it was fear. doubt. theo made scott doubt everything he thought he knew and he didn't know what to do anymore.

As a fandom, we moved past Jeremy throwing an entire semi-finals game because of HONOR and that without him, the entire original trilogy would have ended very differently… WAY too quickly.
Like, even Nora was like “Nah, Trojans too good. Gotta find a loophole here. Oh, an honor-bound bleeding heart of a twink that half The Perfect Court wants to bang… yes, yes. This opens ALL the doors.”
Jeremy Knox changed the entire trajectory of All for the Game, and you can fight me on it, but you would be WRONG. Those who get Jeremy Knox, get it.

The sheer brutality of how Aaron murdered Drake really isnt talked about or represented welk enough in the fandom ngl. Aaron slammed hard enough that the racquet crushed the eye, buried itself in the skull. The blood was on the WALL and the CURTAIN and drake’s body was THROWN OFF OF of Andrew

Imagining in the future when Kevin is on a pro team (with a bunch of players who obviously aren’t up to his standards, because who is) and he is absolutely laying into them all the time and is always bringing up
“Neil Josten would come to the court every single night and practice these drills and you can’t even do them for fifteen minutes”
“Neil Josten once fired shots with Andrew Minyard in goal for a whole night and blew out his arms just because he was stubborn and you can’t even handle shooting on (insert goalie’s name)?”
“Neil Josten played better than you while he was actively running from the Mafia. You think you have other things on your mind?”
Bonus if after a year or two of dealing with this Kevin’s team finally meets Neil at an exy banquet and tattle on him. And Neil is just “??? You literally texted me two weeks ago just to tell me my passes are dogshit? My team hadn’t even played a game or anything, you had just remembered and felt like bringing it up?”

he’s an asshole. he’s the kindest friend you will ever have. hes an alcoholic health freak. he’s a heartless machine that only cares about playing stickball and has little interest in real people. he will make outstanding efforts to never ever ever have to be alone for even one second. he’s half of a duo. he wishes he could stand on his own. he mourns a man that no one else on earth loved (even though no one on earth has been as hurt by that man as him). he knows you will die and he does nothing to even attempt to stop it– he still makes sure your remaining time is the best time anyone’s ever had. he leaves you even though he’s all you have, but he never stops sending you postcards, he never stops trying to save you. he promises you he will find you a purpose in life, and he always finds it. he always finds it.

list of things u should not think about
"Seth could. He was a tenor."
seth singing often enough to know his vocal range
seth singing to himself and liking the sound of his own voice
seth finding songs that fit in his range and singing to himself in the car and practising
seth confiding these discoveries to betsy and her giving him breathing exercises that help with vocals
seth learning that some of them can simultaneously help bring down panic attacks
seth finding more excuses to be alone and practise
seth and allison being back on and they get a hotel room for their anniversary one weekend
allison waking both of them up with a nightmare, hyperventilating
seth helping her breathe by showing her the exercises betsy taught him
when she calms down she can't sleep again so he asks if she wants him to sing
she says "i didn't know you could" and seth says "i didn't either."
sings her to sleep and decides he's going to marry her
u thought about all that didn't you.
list of songs seth gordon can (could) sing

it's graduation season so just to say: if you didn't graduate a level of education for any reason, you're just as valuable and worthy of love as those who graduated, you're wonderful and i love you
