Criminal that we didn't have a Supernatural vintage car show episode, come on now
Dean can infiltrate no problem bc he genuinely knows everything about cars and gets super into discussing fixes, gets wildly side-tracked, while Sam goes off to interrogate a bunch of car-enthusiast hot milfs
Dean is glued at the hip to Cas and Cas always stands awkwardly at the Impala, doesn't know anything about cars, so everyone just assumes Cas is the boyfriend who showed up for support? And the hot young ladies in shorts and boots befriend him bc he's apparently one of the hot girlfriends? And so he gets insight into their lives and solves the case, leading them final-girl style through the monster showdown in a garage full of heavy machinery and angry ghosts
Dean watches him emerge from the garage, shotgun in hand, shirt torn and covered in grease, and he bluescreens so hard he just runs past the flock of bombshells in shorts and tank tops (also covered in grease) to clutch Cas to check him for injuries

there's a lot of tragedies with body counts in the 100 but none of them makes me cry like the culling. the sacrifice. the unnecessary nature of it all. the 100's tireless efforts to warn them that they don't have to die up there. jake's fight to let them know about the oxygen in the first place, abby getting him killed for the secret, then releasing it herself in the name of her daughter. it's one of the saddest, cruelest episodes in the entire series, and that's saying something.

the clarke/wells and finn/raven relationships are such direct parallels to each other i'm surprised i've never seen it before. wells giving up so many rations as a child to trade them for art supplies he could gift to clarke, raven only surviving on the ark because finn shared everything he possibly could with her. best friends with unrequited love. finn can tell, easy, that wells is in love with clarke, and that's probably because he saw the same signs in raven before they started dating.
but wells isn't like raven- he wouldn't ask clarke to love him back "like that." that's part of why the narrative needed to execute him so early on in the series. wells is the one that gives to her and never takes from her. wells is the prince to her princess. he would always be the one tending to the dead, even the ones she killed herself (like atom). clarke asks, "how can you forgive me?" and wells says, "it's already done." he would've always been too forgiving. he would've always taken the spotlight off of her, try to suffer in her place, try to level the blame between them because they're the only two the 100 can substitute for the ark's authoritarian one percent, despite the fact that wells and clarke are both delinquents sent as test dummies to the ground, just like the rest of the 100.
but with raven, she knows what she wants and she goes for it. her ambition and determination made her brutally honest in her love for finn. the first thing we really learn about finn is that he's impulsive, we can see that through his spacewalk on the 100's dropship, and then we see his optimism and see his peacemaking. of course finn would've gone along with it if she wanted to be his girlfriend. he was always sacrificing himself for her sake, that's who he is. and raven would always take any opportunity to level up, that's who she is.
raven would've always forgiven finn. wells would've always forgiven clarke. they would always work to protect them, even if the other didn't need or deserve protection. clarke and finn were always going to be the exception to any rule, respectively. raven was always going to do anything to get on the ground to be with finn, just like wells got himself thrown in prison station just to do the same with clarke. wells wouldn't be himself if he didn't do that for her and raven wouldn't be herself if she didn't do that for him.
that's why wells had to die. it's why finn had to die. raven and clarke needed to be able to be cruel and recognized for their cruelty, hated and feared and betrayed. they needed to be able to drown in their own brutality and pity. such a devoted source of comfort, like wells and finn, would've gotten them out of so many situations the narrative needed to push them towards. raven never would've taken the out to the city of light if finn was there. if left alive, wells would've been the one to pull the lever with clarke at mount weather instead of bellamy. the story needed clarke's longest friend to die so that bellamy could take his place. the story needed the light of raven's life to die so that she would be as vulnerable as possible to alie.
they haunt the narrative because clarke and raven's progression as characters would've been entirely different if wells and finn weren't made to die.

Also, I would like to add a lot of of the fandom tends to give Jason this inherent he knows what he's doing vibe.
Like especially with like cooking and stuff like that.
As someone who grew up in a household where it was messy and I don't mean messy like dirty, I mean, like not a healthy household. Kids who grew up in environments like that don't tend to actually know all that shit because no one fucking taught them..
Now, maybe in the two years, Jason was with Alfred and Bruce. He figured some shit out, but probably not.
He knows how to make macaroni and cheese last three days. But he definitely doesn't know how to work a KitchenAid. I once saw a fic, where Jason used to make his mom fresh bread while she was ODing, so she would have something to eat. And I just wonder what crackhouses did everyone else grow up in because my experience was vastly different.
And I have the perspective of the shit environment and the good environment.
Like realistically, if any of the bats have a sourdough starter, it's Tim and it's named Robin.
Or a herb garden carefully taking care of by Damien and Alfred.
* I love, Jason, but as someone who's like, lived his life some of these head cannons be crazy.
