Hey I just wanna remind you that you're not always gonna agree with other leftists and you can still work with them. When I was... cough cough... reading about the No Kings protests, I was thinking about the variety of opinions in those crowds. Some of them are Democrats. Some are anti-MAGA Republicans. At least where I live, almost none of them are leftists. But we they still accomplished something by banding together for a specific cause.

This to say, nothing is ever gonna be perfect, but you can join your local groups anyway, you can get newsletters from sources you only agree with on the big stuff, you can start a chapter of an organization in a town where only Democrats are going to join. You might be the only leftist in the room, but the people you're feeding/teaching/housing/caring for don't particularly care about your stance on the ethics of eating meat. They care about your willingness to stand up for them and be in community with them. When you find a cause you care about, adding dividers between you and the people doing the work only slows the work being done.

theres such an expectation of the host as a "real" and "normal" one and i think its because or related to the general idea of DID, plurality, and neurodivergency in general as like, a curable infection. like, the flu, you know? i think a lot of people really think therapy is supposed to give you medicine that makes you Normal™ and thats why people complain when it takes too long or whatever.. anyway i think its related because, people see alters as just, symptoms of the curable infection they think plurality is, and think the host is "the one whos ACTUALLY real/the body/person i know" instead of seeing plurality as the way we are.

trying not to infodump about my alterhumanity on my friends got me looking like:

the thing about terms like transmasc and transfem that I love so much but I also feel we've sadly forgotten is just how broad they are. it doesn't inherently imply an agab, it doesn't inherently imply that they're binary, it doesn't even really inherently imply a gender at all. someone who's transfeminine is just transitioning to look more feminine than they used to be. that's all it really tells you. someone who's transmasc can be a trans man, they can be nonbinary, they can be butch, they can be afab or amab or intersex and so much else. but we've reduced that to "basically a trans man" and "basically a trans woman"
