To LGBT people:

I don't hate you or want you to die or be mistreated in any way, shape, or form. Just because I disagree with your lifestyle as a Christian doesn't mean I think I'm better than you or hate you in any way. If you were hurt by any Christians or so called Christians, I'm sorry that happened to you and that's not what we're supposed to do. I'll still be your friend (or at bare minimum treat you well) even if I disagree with your lifestyle.

If any Christians or so called Christians are intentionally hurting LGBT people in any way, **STOP**. There is no room for a Christian to harm, mistreat, or call LGBT people slurs, or the like. Our job is to tell the truth about sin, not abuse sinners. We're sinners too. Every human except for Jesus Christ Himself.

Why do you only focus on hating gay people? Like...what point do you admit its hate not "wanting them to not live in sin". You never talk about helping the poor and homeless. You never speak out against war and ultra rich hoarding wealth. You just vomit up the same homophobic and transphobic conspiracy theories. You bump elbows with people who are racist and call to kill lgbt people so you clearly are okay with that [see voicesfromthecorner] so like...just say it. Because if you actually listened to Jesus. You would learn empathy and understanding. Not what you and your fundy group gets from having hate boners.

First of all, LGBT is talked about a ton on this site, much more than homelessness or helping the poor (which by the way, we SHOULD help those people, and I never said we shouldn't nor do I think it less important than calling LGBT sin. Heck, we should help the homeless/poor LGBT people too, we just can't affirm their lifestyles or help them sin by funding "gender affirming" surgeries.)

And I am against the ultra rich hoarding wealth as well. Also saying homosexuality or transgender is a sin isn't a conspiracy theory. It's in the Bible.

I don't think I even know the person who you speak of, or even if your accusations against that person are actually true. If anyone claims to be Christian and is racist or calls to kill LGBT people, they really need to reevaluate their faith. Racism is 100% against God, as it degrades fellow people made in God's image. Also we aren't called to kill LGBT people, we're supposed to love them as we should anyone and at the same time speak the truth about their sin. Being against LGBT lifestyles =\= wanting them dead or harmed.

I don't know where you get the idea that I want LGBT people dead, but I condemn any mistreatment of them. Being against sin isn't an excuse for mistreatment of anyone.

Anyway ALL sin is a crime against God. Not just LGBT. Any heterosexual activity outside of marriage is also against God and people don't get a pass for sexual sin just because they're straight. Murder, stealing, lying, ECT. All sin is against God! But all sin is also forgivable as well! Jesus Christ who is God and became human born of a virgin, has died on the cross, was buried, and then resurrected three days later, all so that anyone who comes to Him can be completely forgiven of their sins! All of them!

When someone begins to refer to their disorders as the “disorder multiverse” and has about 30+ including a DID system with 50+ alters, most from popular TV shows- yeah… you are doing every mentally disabled person a disservice because those of us severely suffering won’t get taken seriously anymore.

I have diagnosed DID and I’ve had people ask me what my “system name” is, why I don’t use plural pronouns, and asked me what my tv show/movie alters are.

Um. I have none of that. I have two “alters”. When I get overwhelmingly scared or angry I dissociate. Because when I was a child I was SEVERELY physically and mentally abused. I don’t switch on camera. I don’t switch at will. I don’t switch unless I’m triggered by extreme fear or extreme anger(which usually only triggers when I feel like someone is trying to control me).

And it’s not cute uwu. I don’t change clothes and act like my alters. You know what happens? I black out essentially. I lose entire periods of time when it happens. Scared part cries and screams and tries to hide. Angry part has punched walls, thrown chairs and screamed so loud my throat has been injured. Then I have seizures coming out of it all.

So no. It’s not fun. It’s not cute. I don’t have hazbin hotel characters in my brain. I don’t cosplay my alters. I don’t introduce them. I don’t switch to them for fun. There is no system. It’s an illness- a real horrible disorder- and it’s not tiktok fun.

I want to vent/rant about something I learned today.

I had a friend, Christian, who used to be so set in biblical ways. She gave her life fully to Christ and it was so fun chatting with her about scripture and our fellow nerdy interests. But then one day she suddenly flipped. Began dating a girl, said that she couldn’t control her attractions, and even blocked me on discord for being against homosexuality due to the Bible’s teachings. Then she started to attack me over it.

She’s made posts here talking about how it’s not against scripture. Then uses the posts to attack people who speak out against it by saying “LGBT youth are more likely to commit suicide so you shouldn’t say anything to them that would go against their lifestyle”. Now I feel idk guilty? Because apparently me sharing the gospel with LGBT people leads them to commit suicide for me not accepting them. But most people don’t accept us as christians and we are fine with it. I don’t know why they NEED us as christians to go against scripture and accept them or they kill themselves. I’m not trying to be cold, I don’t want anyone to die. I just want them to know they are loved and their lifestyle leads to pain- even if it seems fun here for awhile.

I don’t know, I’m just upset by it all. I don’t want to be told that when I share the gospel with people it will lead to their suicides. I don’t even consider this girl a Christian anymore based on how she posts- saying things like Jesus can be a woman and God makes people trans.

Do you have any advice aside from just praying for her?

HI Anon. I'm giving you all the hugs and prayers. For one, sometimes people genuinely seem to be Christians until suddenly they stop for reasons I don't know. Maybe she THOUGHT she was a Christian and then after a while it's evident that she is not. My advice is to pray for her to return to Christ and His teachings, and be open to talking to her again should she ever repent/unblock you.

You sharing the Gospel is NOT going to cause LGBT people to commit suicide. If they commit suicide, that's on them, not you. You're not trying to make anyone commit suicide and that's very clear. Those people are very likely already suicidal for other reasons. I went to highschool with several LGBT people and they almost never have a good relationship with their family, their family is abusive/doing drugs/other crimes, or they're bullied a lot and want to fit in somewhere. I'm not saying that's the case with all of these people but it's what I've seen so far.

Your job is to speak against LGBT lifestyles, but do so with gentleness and respect. God loves LGBT people, just not their lifestyles. You can befriend, take care of, and love LGBT people without condoning LGBT lifestyles. If they don't like what you have to say and they aren't interested after you've told them the truth, pray for God to do the work, as you've done all you can when you told them.

Maybe if you have experience being LGBT before coming to Christ you can share your story about it. If not there are several people here and on the Internet in general you can find that'll help you.

Overall, pray about all this. God is listening and wants to hear from you. Pray for your friend to return to Christ and pray for LGBT people to see the truth about their sin and seek Christ.

The City of Atlanta Georgia has decided to demolish the research and conservation center of the Amphibian Foundation. This organization works tirelessly to conserve the Frogs, Toads, Salamanders, Newts, and other amphibians in the United States. In addition, they provide key education for herpetologists on the care, conservation, and preservation of reptiles and amphibians.

This emergency need is compounded by the government mass firing of conservation officials and the pulling of funds from many of the country's conservation organizations.

Our building will be demolished in 2026, and we need to identify a new location (or locations) for 7 labs and over 1,000 animals, many of which are endangered and part of critical conservation programs.

We've identified a new location for most of AF, but not our research and conservation programs. We have an amazing lead, but it's not confirmed yet.

Our first fundraising project is the AF Emergency Fund as the minimum cost estimates to move this many labs and animals safely is $50,000. (It costs about 50 USD per animal to move them)

Inspired by a post by a well-known social media person I saw the other day:

It is not loving to encourage or help someone to do compulsions for their OCD.

It might seem like you’re making them feel welcome and understood, but if someone was self-harming, would you say “I understand. Here, let me help you!”?

No. You would get them proper help and say “This is only making your situation worse and I’m doing this because I love you.”

Compulsions physically reinforce in the brain that the person is obsessing for a valid reason. They perpetuate the OCD cycle and make the person’s OCD even more deeply engrained.

The best way to help is to very gently say, “I’m sorry you are in distress. I’m so sorry you deal with OCD. But I know that I will only make you worse if I encourage or help you do compulsions and obsess, so I’m going to refrain because I love you.”

And then, find a way to get their mind off it or help them calm down.

Compassion is vital, but not at the expense of doing something that actually harms someone.
