self improvement can't be born out of self hatred. there's nothing healthy about working to glow up and improve BECAUSE you hate your current self.
in order to really improve and grow you need to accept who you are now- you need to accept that you have unhealthy habits, unproductive days and will always make mistakes. when we set these external goals because we don't have self-worth we just keep chasing and chasing, and our self worth is only based on our achievements and approval. you need to first accept yourself as you are, then work to be happier and healthier while picking yourself up after mistakes and embarrasments. self improvement isnt about becoming a totally different unrecognizable person (that's such a toxic mentality)- it's about bettering who you already are :)
