To all the Chess people stumbling into the show bc your favorite actor is in the revival, you need to understand that nobody has ever figured this show out. It's an absolute mess and every version has something wrong with it. And if you don't know that every production (and I mean every production) has a different script then you are not ready for Chess.

Also the show isn't about girlbosses or wooby rock tenors or sad Russians. It's about complete assholes and once you internalize that nobody in this show is in the right it will make more sense.

(I do want to be clear that you are all welcome here no matter what you like about the show but it's far more than the revival and the multiplicity of the show is part of the deal)
