Welcome to the sixth edition of #AggressivelyArospecWeek!
#AggressivelyArospecWeek (#AAW) is a week-long event promoting the creation of arospec fancontent by arospec creators.
Our event aims to create a space where arospec creators are free to explore their identities through fanwork. We believe that fandom is a great way to share our passions, our interests and to empower one another in our arospec identities. All while having loads of fun!
Please join us from June 20 to June 26 2021 and enjoy a small explosion of arospec fancontent. You’re welcome to submit any type of content for the event, whether it be fanfic, headcanons, mixtapes, fanart,… Anything goes!
Any content you submit has to be centered around a character’s arospec identity (whether that character is canonically arospec or you headcanon them as so.) Content can be about any fandom whatsoever!
To submit, please make a new post during the event week and tag it as #AggressivelyArospecWeek, or submit your work directly to our blog through the ask and submission boxes. Your post will then be reblogged on the Aggressively Arospec blog.
We also have a Twitter account, so use the hashtags #AggressivelyArospecWeek and #AAW21 if you tweet about your work on there. You can also mention us in your tweet to be sure we don’t miss it and can retweet it. Do submit through tumblr if you can, however, since that is the best way to get your contribution archived with all the others.
Lastly, a collection will be opened on Archive of our Own to round up all the fanfics posted on there.
We can’t wait to see what you have in store for us this year!
(For more information, check out our About page or our FAQ section. If you need some inspiration, you can also check out the content that was created during out previous events in our #AggressivelyArospecWeek tag.)

pre-canon Jon/Georgie | 4.3K words | for @the-magnace-archives
1.
“Laundry detergent is practically a self-contained emulsion—not that it has to be a mixture of anything, but it has a hydrophilic and a hydrophobic end,” says Jonathan-Sims-but-I-usually-go-by-Jon-oh-and-it’s-nice-to-meet-you-too, and Georgie grins. She hadn’t expected much when she dragged herself out tonight, prompted more by the vague feeling that she really ought to make some friends this year (apparently, her tutees don’t count, thanks Mum) than any real desire to do so. Then, she’d looked across Balliol Bar to see the student who’d interrupted their Modern-ish Lit prof in lecture yesterday, holding a briefcase in his lap and scowling at his beer as if it too wasn’t planning to analyze Jane Austen through a post-colonialist lens this year. Georgie had headed over as a gesture of BAME Literature student solidarity, and now it’s been an hour and she’s still here, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

TMACE Reminder!
Hello fandom, we hope you are enjoying the feeling of mounting dread as season 5 approaches. This is your not-so-regular reminder that The MagnACE Archives is here for your ace-related TMA fanwork needs!
The What?
The MagnACE Archives is an ongoing challenge for creating works focused on or related to asexuality. Our main venue is Dreamwidth, where you can post and read prompts or fanfic “fills.” We also have AO3 collections and (obviously) this tumblr for sharing unprompted works, so if there’s something you’ve been meaning to create, there’s no time like the present!
Regardless of platform, all of our submissions are divided into SFW vs. NSFW/Kink categories, and subject to specific tagging guidelines to make sure that readers are informed and comfortable.
You can find more information about our ethos and methods by perusing our blog, but if you want to jump right in, our Rules & Participation page has everything you need to know to get started!

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: The Magnus Archives (Podcast) Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Martin Blackwood/Jonathan Sims Characters: Martin Blackwood, Jonathan Sims Additional Tags: Prompt Fill, The MagnACE Archives, sex neutral ace, Informed by Asexuality, Non-Sexual Kink, Lipstick & Lip Gloss, lipstick kink Summary:
“You want me to…wear lipstick for you?” Jon’s tone is soft. Martin risks a glance at him, and it’s just Jon as always, a little curious furrow between his eyebrows as he tries to figure out if this is some sex thing he hasn’t understood.
“Yeah,” says Martin. “It’s just - you looked so lovely.”
“Oh,” Jon says, and it’s his turn to look away. His voice is husky when he says: “Of course I will. Of course.”
*
For the prompt: Jon was wild at uni; Martin finds a photo of him wearing lipstick and CANNOT stop thinking about it.
Another wonderful prompt from The MagnACE Archives (which I will continue to plug at every available opportunity!). This was a fun one to write!

TMACE Update
Happy excruciating hiatus TMA fandom,
Thank you to everyone who has contributed prompts or fills to the collection thus far!
Several people have indicated to us that they would like to add more prompts and write more fics but simply didn’t have the time to do so within the event period (which goes for the mods as well), so we’ve decided to leave this open as an ongoing challenge. That means you can continue adding prompts and fills to the Dreamwidth, or submitting your works to the AO3 collections (SFW / NSFW) for the foreseeable future. We’ll be doing a post about once a month or so to remind y’all that this exists, and likely some mini-events too.
Hopefully that works for everyone, but as always please send us a message if you have any questions or concerns!

@the-magnace-archives Did I draw this the moment I learned about this event? Mayhaps.
Being asexual can feel very lonely and alienating, but there are good and decent people in the world who will love you for who you are. The fact that Jonathan Sims is a main character that is not only ace, but an ace who experiences love, is the best thing I could ever ask for. Thank you everyday, Rusty Quil, for giving me joy and reassurance.
(click for better quality, thanks tumblr)

Announcing: The MagnACE Archives Fandom Event
What is this?
It's a chance to celebrate everyone's favorite asexual Archivist by writing fic or creating fanworks that focus on or address Jon's asexuality! There are a million and one different ace experiences and we believe that every ace deserves the chance to see their own experiences reflected in a canonically asexual character.
How does it work?
From now until November 10, our Dreamwidth community will be open to prompts. If you've always wanted to see a particular kind of fanwork but haven't felt confident in your ability to create it yourself, this is your chance! There are separate NSFW and SFW prompt posts and prompts are submitted anonymously. A moderator will review your prompt and it will be visible to others as soon as possible.
If you want to fill a request, dive right in! Fills will also be posted anonymously, although you're welcome to cross-post your fill elsewhere under your name as well. We are asking that everyone tag their work very thoroughly; we know that content that some aces find important and validating can be triggering to other aces, and we want people to be able to find what they want without wading through anything that makes them uncomfortable. See our Tag Guidelines for more info.
We also have an AO3 Collection where you can post your work anonymously or under your own name, and you can post to Tumblr with the tag #tmace. Don't feel you have to stick to the prompts! If you've been waiting for an excuse to finish that ace-centric fic, here it is.
More questions?
See our Event Rules & Participation, Tag Guidelines, and FAQ, or hop right over to the Dreamwidth community to see what's already been posted.

Prompt Submissions Open!
We interrupt your screaming over the season finale to bring you this message:
The Dreamwidth community is now open for ace fic prompts! You’ll find all of the instructions you need over there, but you can always let us know if you have any questions. Please keep in mind that your posts may take up to a couple hours to appear, due to timezones and the mods’ need for sleep, etc.
(If you have no idea what this refers to, check out our announcement post and about page.)
That’s it for now; we’ll be back on November 2nd when the event officially begins to give details about posting prompt fills and other ace-related fanworks.
You may now resume screaming.

Coming soon: ‘The MagnACE Archives‘ Fandom Event!
Hello TMA fandom!
Though asexual awareness week is almost over and the season finale is nigh, there’s no reason we can’t continue to live our best lives by celebrating everyone’s favorite ace archivist! Thus, we’re announcing a brand-new event focused specifically on works relating to asexuality.
The Basics:
We want to create space for all of the many, many aces in this fandom to represent and see themselves represented in TMA fanworks, and also engage with those works in a comfortable and positive way. Because everyone deserves that sweet ace rep!
In this event, anyone will be able to contribute prompts for ace!fanfic on our Dreamwidth memes. Writers are then invited to fill as many prompts as they like, and/or post any other ace-related fics they like to our AO3 collections or on tumblr. Art is welcome too, and will be reblogged on this account! (Also, please note that you don’t have to be ace to participate - we just ask that you do your due diligence, and will be providing some guidelines and suggestions to that effect.)
We’re doing our best to make this as inclusive and welcoming as possible. In addition to having open submissions as mentioned above, this means:
Anonymity - Both prompts and fic “fills” will be posted anonymously on Dreamwidth. The AO3 collections will also be anonymous, though you are welcome to have your name revealed or cross-post your work with your name attached if you wish.
Separate collections for SFW vs. NSFW - Both Dreamwidth and AO3 will have separate sections to make it easier to find or avoid certain stuff!
Mandatory tags - We’ll be asking (and moderating) writers to add appropriate tags to indicate the kind of asexual representation they’re including in their work, again to make it easier to find and filter what you want to read.
For more information on our goals and methods, check out our About the Event page!
Important Dates:
31st October - Dreamwidth opens for prompts
2nd - 10th November - Prompt fills and fanwork posting
That’s it for now, but the full Rules, FAQ, and Tag Guidelines will be available soon. In the meantime, we encourage you to think about what kind of prompts you may want to post and what fanworks you want to create!
You’re also free to send us any burning questions or concerns you may have. We can’t guarantee that we will implement all suggestions, as there are a lot of competing interests at work (for instance, we’re not going to be outright banning any type of content), but we are doing our utmost to run this event in a thoughtful and considerate way.
We hope you’ll join us in kicking off the hiatus with some spectacular ace fanworks!
