*The Mask Maker smiled in delight as Kor had clearly understood who his main target was.*
You understand. It is a calculated risk for us...but not an easy task for him, for he is full of flaws we can turn against him, he's a weapon against everything, everyone, and himself.
Even if Vengeance were to escape again, he'd definetely leave something with his own DNA for the Order to utilize...blood, hair, saliva...that man is all about letting his body be shredded to pieces, how do you think he had been possessed in the first place? He is careless about his own body and completely forgets about his humanity if the right buttons are pressed.
*He noted the fact Kor seemed to also have a target, not Vengeance however, someone else...someone that Daigo clearly knew. His eyes flickered for a moment as something similar to worry flashed for a second:*
Charlotte...?
"Mask Maker. Focus."
*The Mask Maker shook his head, establishing control again...that was the second time Daigo tried to slip out, he could not let that happen so often. That was an imperfection he had to fix.
Contrary to Daigo, the Mask Maker enjoyed the idea of Charlotte being another target, she had something very valuable.*
Well, well, well. I'm sure you will get her too...I'm confident you won't let yourself be taken by mere intimidation anymore. You are close to achieve something even more valuable than Vengeance's wrath, perhaps the combination of the both of them could be even a better weapon. A tag team of pure unbridled power. With them by our side it would be a matter of time before this island in our control.
- Kor ignored the petty grumblings of the mix of demons, Oni, and enhanced IO foot soldiers as she once again ran her eyes over the assembly. Their numbers had grown. Good.
She hadn't spoken to the Mask Maker himself, as he usually seemed quite absorbed in the creation of more masks, and in communing with his master. But that didn't matter to her. What he did didn't matter as long as it delivered results.
This time, however, he was up and about, and looked to be taking stock of some fresh foot soldiers. Kor flicked a bit of ash from her coat with a disinterested sigh. -
Slightly substandard, but they should be useful for testing at least.

*The Mask Maker was fixing one of the soldier's mask, a slight imperfection but that could not be let slide, for an imperfection could cause the mask to wear down more easily, its power at risk of low performance...and that would be a waste. As his paintbrush swiftly flowed through the hard shell, he was interrupted and called to attention.*
"Turn around, my Artist, for the Mercenary has approached you."
Of course, my Master.
*He turned around, facing Kor, his teal, sometimes magenta eyes on her deeply.*
Ah, Kor, we finally have a time to see eachother, how delightful.
I follow the Order's request and The Dark Presence's design, they may all look like mere subjects, but I assure you some have more potential than those pesky lab-rats. You decide where they end up, but you would change your mind on some of them and perhaps give them more...worthy places.
But if not, we can still assure they'd perform better than the subjects the Order's had to deal with all this time.
*A smile seemed to creep up behind the mask as his eyes suggested, a little magenta flicker on them*

*The Mask Maker hummed, the smoke fading out and his eyes clearing, going back to teal once again*
Do not worry, there's a reason no one has messed with my Master and survived.
It will be only a matter of growing the army even more powerful...perhaps with some valuable members...I have someone in mind, an old acquaintance of the Oni...he escaped once but we believe he has been compromised enough to have a successful retry.
Voice has come that we also received unknown help, his mind nothing but damaged. Scarred. If we take him, not only we weaken a certain team, but our army will have one of the most brute, enraged warriors this island has ever seen.

*The Mask Maker seemed to almost understand why Kor had responded the way she did, the man sounded dangerous...yet someone in his head didn't certainly cower*
"Perfection embodied...all lies. No other being can be perfect if I don't intervene...and if they don't accept my precious help...You are perfection, my Artist. This is why I have chosen you at my most noble service...that man would be nothing against Me, You, and Our army.
He may be powerful...but is he more powerful than Darkness itself? She should have still tried to do something...but I suppose this can be forgiven. Just this once. Tell her."
*The Mask Maker snapped out of what seemed a zone out. He looked at Kor again*
I suppose you may have doubted your strength against that that seems so powerful...this will be understood and forgiven this once, but I believe next time you should remember who you are allies with.
The Dark Presence knows how to deal with strong enemies...that man may known as pefection itself, but he too has flaws. Flaws that can be used against him. It cam make him pay for having such flaws. Just like it had done to some so called "heroes" in this island. Who dared step in its way.
Do not worry. If he dares to present himself again...
*His eyes turned a mix of red and magenta as he seemed to smile, dark smoke coiling around his body, as if the posession grew deeper for that moment.*
"We will be ready."

I am nothing more than grateful to be no disappointment for the Order.
"Do not forget."
Ah yes...Although I am afraid you have brought some...slight displeasure to the Generals, and a little bit of confusion on me...
I have seen that fight, Kor, the fight with those...intruders
*ouch, saying that felt like a tiny knife had stabbed him in the chest, knowing who he had just called "intruder". Yet The Mask Maker didn't show the flinch Daigo would have clearly shown in that moment.*
You seemed to have been attacked by one member of that group and retreated quite fast...not even a response to such violent attacker...We all expected you to do something. Make that man regret while he seemed to do a prideful speech that we couldn't hear...But you did nothing, you absorbed said attack and ran in fear...something i have never seen you do up until that moment...
*he tilted his head to a side, eyes locked on Kor*
Why is that, our Mercenary?

*The Mask Maker had been watching the fight from his temple, he couldn't bother to go into battle when he had created his demon army to do that for him. Not to mention Kor, who seemed to be more expert in combat than him. He had gladly sent her instead, and promised to only join if things got critical. And for the mask maker, critical meant life-threatening, more-dead-than-alive injuries
He observed the moment Kor was attacked by the masculine figure, disgust on his face as he watched her fail to fight, running away, afraid for her life. Pure terror in that one glimpse he had managed to catch of her eyes*
Coward. Pesky coward. I reward her with these powers and she runs away after one hand around her throat!?
*He turned around, but a few minutes later he felt a strange gut feeling to look outside once more, something told him he needed to see what was happening.
He looked outside of the temple again, and right before his eyes, 4 figures stood outside, 2 unknown, a man and a woman of regal aspects, 1 familiar, the masks on her belt telling him he had seen her before but he had blurry memories of. The last one however stopped him in his tracks, he was always the one that stood out the most.*
...brother...?
*He tried calling Kendo out louder to catch his attention, he wanted to talk to him, he wanted to see him, but the mask was blocking him from being louder, and Kendo was already turning his back away from the temple. As Daigo was about to start exiting the temple to approach...a sudden voice in his head echoed aggressively*
"Do not engage, for he is only distraction. Get back on your track, Mask Maker."
*with the influence too strong to resist, the Mask Maker was back, turning his back from the outside and walking back into the middle of the temple to meditate once more*
*Kendo surveyed the shattered remains of what had once been Masked Meadows... of course, it certainly wasn't anymore. A blackened landscape, misted over in purple. That's what remained. And in its center, a massive temple that oozed dark energies.*
*But Kendo wasn't looking at the darks and purples. He was looking for something bright and mint green.*
*Or rather... someone.*
*And there she was. Charlotte, darting between buildings, with the occasional flash of sparks near her. Gunfire? He wasn't sure.*
*His every instinct screamed to go help her, but he knew that the Empress would be quite displeased if he ended up badly hurt. Not to mention what Charlotte would say. He wasn't even properly armed, after all.*
*Thus, he scrambled back down the hill, to where Mizuki and Eugene stood, armed and waiting.*
I see her, several meters away towards the southwest. She is almost certainly attempting to escape pursuit, though who is tracking her, I cannot see.

Daigo this
Daigo that....
He's gone. Deal with it. I am The Mask Maker. And I will make you feel the true fear Daigo couldn't make you feel.

It's to make everything look more evil you know, the aesthetic.
What kind of demon doesn't pollute the air of his evil dojo with the souls of the damned? It wouldn't look like an evil dojo without them

*The Mask Maker meditated in his temple, black, magenta and gold tendrils flowing all around him. He opened his eyes and looked up, the large Oni mask covered in paper strings infront of him on top.
But something else was there on that mask too. A rift butterfly laying there, its tiny wings opened facing him. Daigo smirked behind his now eternal mask*
I know you are watching me, 4 Digits... I know you are spying me.

*Daigo shrugged*
Suit yourself...you will come back soon. Just think of the possibilities...
Now, I believe we have nothing else to share, so I have to go...but I look forward to our next meeting, perhaps inside the base...mh?
*Before Jonesy could respond, Daigo had let the dream realm open a portal, passing through it and leaving*
*Daigo stepped into the dream realm, he looked around, the sky full of what seemed like colorful stars, people's dreams and nightmares, he floated up, turning around to various dreams.
As he was about to touch one dream with his claws, a secondary voice stopped him in his tracks, making him turn around towards the source.*
"What do you think you're doing?"

Ahhh...the good ol' Omniscent God Trick...good one, shortie. I'd like to do that too but i'd have to physically present myself.
Laboratory?
Oh please! At least i'm not the one that gives his body to research! I am free unlike you!
*Daigo thought for a moment*
But your power...that is useful..perhaps my demons can get a good use of it...
Think about it, "0204"...we could work together...
*Daigo stepped into the dream realm, he looked around, the sky full of what seemed like colorful stars, people's dreams and nightmares, he floated up, turning around to various dreams.

Prisoner? Haha...I think she told me about you...I suppose being a traitor didn't work.
*Daigo smirked behind that mask stuck to his face, Jonesy could tell from his eyes.*
First of all, how do you know all of this? You live in a cell you should be more unaware than anyone else...
Second...The Presence it's my own business. My second goal is helping your friends. They have ideas that inspire me...very much...
*Daigo stepped into the dream realm, he looked around, the sky full of what seemed like colorful stars, people's dreams and nightmares, he floated up, turning around to various dreams.

You! It's always a snapshot of that Commander! Everywhere I go I see his dumb face! Even here, in the dream realm!
*He noticed the simbol on his shoulder, the Imagined Order's symbol, he looked over his chest..."0204". He smiled*
You are part of the Imagined Order? Perhaps I can tollerate you.
*Daigo stepped into the dream realm, he looked around, the sky full of what seemed like colorful stars, people's dreams and nightmares, he floated up, turning around to various dreams.
