Lastly, but certainly not least in Cherche's French Dessert litter, is this stunning girl--Parfait !
From the moment all of them were born, you could clearly see Parfait was the most colorful. She has such a neon, highlighter orange that has gotten more rich and deeper over the weeks. Its especially emphasized by her very light background color. She also was born with stunning silver eyes that made her stand out even more. She looks so similar to what the sire looked like when he was younger.
Tumblr media
I really love this beautiful girl but man is she picky! I've been making every excuse I can to hold on to her but right now she's only eating live. Hoping I can change that soon but if not I have a home in mind for her. She is also probably the lowest expression paradox of the litter, just a couple of specks. But I think her color alone outshines her low expression. She is the most similar in looks to Souffle, but Parfait has a neater and bolder stripe. Like a couple of her siblings she also has a sweet and shy personality. Her face is just the cutest!

The next baby in Cherche's French Dessert litter is the last male of the group--Crêpe ! ♡
Such a busy pattern, and there's a lot to love! He's the highest expression paradox of the litter, he has a lovely thick stripe that's jagged all the way down and forks at his neck.
He is the least saturated stripe compared to his siblings. He has some of the upticking of orange speckles from his belly up his sides but its very light and not very noticeable. The orange speckles up the sides is a variable trait of stripes, some have very little to none of the orange on the sides, and some have a lot! The presence and contrast of it is a desirable trait for me personally. The sire to this litter is a nice example of it, here you can see what I mean below!
Tumblr media
And here is a picture I pulled from google of a non-albino stripe where you can see the orange on the sides!
Tumblr media
The contrast comes from the depth of color from the orange on top of a light or dark background. In this case all of my stripes are P. Albino so a light off-white background color is going to show this trait the best!
At the moment I can't be sure which of the babies will turn out to be the lightest background color, but it does appear that Crêpe may not surpass his father in this way--at least from what I can tell with the saturation level of his oranges at this moment. He is much easier on the eyes than his neon highlighter siblings! I fear he would have been too powerful if he was just as bright. The world may have imploded, or just my eyes from the busy tricolor pattern, lol
He has a mellow, quiet personality. He's not the biggest explorer and won't venture far. But doesn't mind being picked up nor gets overly-spooked.
He is also on his second live meal, it will be a couple weeks before I offer frozen/thawed again on advice from my mentor.

The next baby in Cherche's French Dessert litter, is this outgoing little male named Crème Brulée !
Our one and only non-stripe Paradox Albino--he is practically a clone of his mama, and the first baby I laid my eyes on. Such a special boy <3 Pictured below is his mom when she was a baby so you can see how alike they are!
Tumblr media
He was the first I offered food to, and he impressed me with his amazing feeding response! Right from the start he was immediately interested in food and has taken two frozen/thawed meals in a row and I can tell he's gonna be a beast!
Crème Brulée is a low expression Paradox Albino. He doesn't have many black paradox spots, but he makes up for it with his incredibly outgoing personality! He is so curious and wants to sniff and investigate everything. While Cherche was giving birth, Crème Brulée kept following and sniffing his mama while the others were coping with life. Here's a still from the video I took of it (video posted on instagram)
Tumblr media
He also inherited the reduced patterning on his sides from his mom! This is one of my favorite physical attributes of Cherche that I'm glad to see was passed down. If you take a look at the baby photo of the mom above, if you look at her sides where the orange meets the white you can see there's barely any patterning! Another trait which I think may be related is that her side patterning is very lifted, the orange is below most of the patterning--I'll show an example! Below is a side view of her I have posted here in my pairing breakdown where you can see what it looks like now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Below are just some images I pulled from google of other Albinos/Paradox Albinos
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can see how busy some of this patterning is on the sides of these animals, particularly on the plane transitioning between the sides and the white belly. On a majority of animals they have big blotches and then on the sides will have extremely busy small patterning. Cherche lacks most of that tiny busy patterning and you can see a lot of that plane where the orange meets the white with few interruptions. Not something that I am aware of other breeders noticing or breeding for--just something I love about my snake. Generally breeding for overall reduced pattern is a desired and bred for trait, Cherche seems to just possess this on her sides as normal variation/happenstance. But it is so exciting that I got to see it reflect in her baby!
Now, Crème Brulée doesn't appear to have surpassed his mom in this regard nor in paradox expression. But, time will tell about his color! He is already showing great promise in his vibrancy, having only shed once and gaining so much color! I did provide one picture of him with his fresh and shiny baby skin and even though the lighting is different, you can see how bright he has gotten when comparing it to the first and most recent photo! The baby photo of his mom was her probably a month or two older than Crème Brulée is now! I think this is the influence from dad playing a part! We can only wait and see how his color develops but this I feel may be his surpassing moment and he may have a lot brighter of color when he reaches adulthood <3

Cherche's French Dessert litter are almost 3 weeks old now! Two of them have eaten frozen/thawed with gusto twice, so I'm excited to start sharing some of the babies as they take more meals!
One of the firsts to eat is this little male, named Gâteau ❤
He was eye-catching from the day he was born and gets better every time I look at him! He's been quite the anomaly. I was expecting the litter to be as clear cut genetically in that some would look like mom and some would look like dad. He's the outlier! Had me scratching my head and reaching out to my mentor and some of my breeder friends.
He appears to be more of an aberrant rufescens-cross. This is purely random influence due to KSBs and their subspecies hybridization with Rufescens Sand Boas. As far as I'm aware, none of the parents' littermates or parents had expression like this.
He is getting this rich reddish orange hue that's impossible to pick up on camera. His oranges remind me more of the sire, the saddle colors are still developing but remind me of younger pictures of the sire as well. Both are incredibly desired outcomes. I would consider Gâteau low-medium expression in terms of his paradoxing. He's got a mix of bigger splotches and smaller specks which leads me to my absolute favorite thing about this boy... y'all he's got a heart AND a sparkle on him. Literally come on!!! WHat!!! I'm completely enamored with this gorgeous boy. Look forward to updates as he grows. If you're interested in more frequent updates, I post near daily on my instagram

Update: he shed recently and I was able to measure him at 4ft 9 inches. It's wild to me that he's just short of 5 feet long...
Can I ask how big Archie is?
I'd say that he's around 4.5 feet long at last measurement. And that's at 10 years of age!

Torture to be a fan of any exotic animal when it's like. 90% of the footage of them is gonna be from dodo videos of people illegally keeping them as housepets . Really wish I could enjoy this video of a lynx but I also kinda wish everyone involved would die
