MxRP Update

Hello! If you have not yet heard, MxRP is under new management. I am AKI, and, going forward, I will be the administrator of MxRP. I do not intend to interact with the community very often, so, please enjoy the site.

During this transition period, many questions will be asked. This post is intended to answer some of them.

The biggest question is in regards to MxRP 2. So, please be reassured that it will be developed. The transfer of ownership also included all assets and obligations, so, developing MxRP 2 now falls to me. I have assembled a team to assist with this. We will begin soon. Thellere’s work has been very valuable as a start point. But, we will be going in a different direction, as we think too much got changed. Instead, we will build features around the site, rather than build a site around the features. We are hoping this will keep MxRP feeling like MxRP. It may also mean that we do not need to clear data from the site. We will discuss this as a team next week, as well as what it means for beta key users.

In the case of the Patreon. Many people have asked to support the site. I do not know if I am comfortable with this yet. But, the rest of the team disagrees. So, we now control the MxRP Patreon, and will resume it shortly. The long will be on the site. This will help to pay the hosting, and I will distribute what remains to the developers. Please only support us if you are able to afford to. Additionally, as obligations are now with the new team, we are aware that the highest tier involved a crystal cube. Developing this is too much of a challenge for an individual. So, if you were eligible for one, please message the Patreon when it is reinstated, and I will refund you the difference between tiers once it is possible to afford it. Otherwise, please feel free to keep your pledge as it is, we will appreciate this greatly.

In the case of the Kickstarter merchandise, an arrangement has been made with Thellere. This is still available for purchase. I have given the charities the total amount of money and verified that the sales so far have also gone to the charities. So, please feel free to continue buying the left overs. All money will now go towards the new team. Thank you very much for your patronage.

In the case of the log site, it is currently very busy, which is why so many people cannot connect. Please be patient. Otherwise, you may check MxRP. Subscribed chats were restored, and it may be there.
