His eyes were heavy with exhaustion, and his stomach ached with hunger.

Suddenly, a weak cat jumped through the window.

It snatched the bread he had hidden and devoured it quickly. It was his own cat, frail and starving, now on the verge of death from hunger. Sami stood frozen—not from anger, but from the bitter truth that even animals are now desperate for food.

When bread becomes a prize, you know famine has reached an unimaginable level.

Speaking of ribbons the princessRBN item which is a pair of gloves describes as(see through lace ribbon) apparently for some reason fits Kris only since

Susie refuses to wear it and says gloves don't fit

Ralesi calls it cute but also says gloves don't fit

Noelle (yeah she has reactions for all ch3 and ch4 items in the code) says that Kris can wear the gloves

huh yeah that IS very odd. based on the description it sounds like it's a ribbon AND a pair of gloves, that come as a set. and noelle and ralsei can still equip the ribbon, which is the part that gives the stat boost.

so the gloves dont fit susie and she refuses to wear them or the ribbon of course, and the gloves also dont fit ralsei but he doesnt say that out loud and will wear them anyway. nothing says the gloves dont fit noelle, but she still insists that kris wear them instead.

I feel sort of silly thinking so hard about a single armor equip, but given the context it feels like it must be foreshadowing for something. I couldnt tell you what but, something

the room it's found in makes me wonder as well.
