I'm like a jiang Cheng Stan and a wen Qing Stan but tbh it's kinda crazy that Jiang Cheng can be praised for prioritizing his family's and clan's lives .. but when wen Qing does the same she gets called a " complicit " in the massacres just cause she chose to protect her family and not go against wen rouhan.

Besides she literally never hurt or killed anyone because she put her oath as a healer first before anything else .

we need to start making shen yuan weirder that man is NOT normal. too often his freak tendencies are overshadowed by luo binghe's well. everything. but shen yuan is arguably weirder than him for literally no reason whatsoever. i could study his brain in a lab for 30 years and still come no closer to understanding him.

One of the interesting things to discover within mdzs fandom is how the other characters reacted to the wen remnants situation which helps us understand how their morals work , giving more depth to them and informs a realistic image to them.

Starting first with Jiang Cheng ( literally one of my fav characters ) , some fans called him " evil " .. " ungrateful " and simply stated their dislike towards him for letting the wen remnants get hurt though in fact during the discussion conference Jiang Cheng spoke up in defense for the wen remnants and wei wuxian + stated that himself and wei wuxian owe wen Qing and wen Ning for helping them after the lotus pier massacre + he was like the only one from the sect leaders to acknowledge that the wen remnants are a group of defenseless people but then he only got dismissed by nie mingjue and Jin guangshan.

Who then pressured him into withdrawing his defense towards the wen remnants by mentioning that his clan is still weak after the massacre and Jiang Cheng instead must focus on rebuilding yunmeng Jiang , this shows that Jiang Cheng wasn't evil & that he has a natural human instinct that he prioritizes the preservation / safety of his clan family .. as it was showed that he eventually tried to make wei wuxian withdraw his protection towards the wen remnants .
