Hey! I like your art and especially juicy stuff with Lavr and Strahd/Rahadin! I know that you didn't play CoS, but it seems that Lavr has met some residents at the castle Ravenloft! May I ask whom has he met? I saw art of Ludmila, Rahadin and Syrus! How was their first meeting? What's Lavr's opinion on them? Perhaps there's even a relationship :O Anyways, I love your art and I hope your campaign is going great!!!

In the castle Lavr had time to get to know all of the consorts, Rahadin and Cyrus. To begin with, it's worth clarifying that the consorts' names in our game have been changed to Slavic names, literally meaning faith (Vera), hope (Nadejda), and love (Lubov).

🦇 Lavr first met Rahadin. Strad had him watch over the dhampir to make sure he didn't get into trouble (but he did, and Rahadin fought off a swarm of rats afterwards). Despite the initial disdain, now Lavr sees Rahadin as a mentor in a way. Rahadin is training him in combat and more practical/domestic skills, as well as unwittingly passing on his philosophy and worldview.

🦇 Then there was Cyrus, who crossed paths with Lavr while bringing lunch to the dining hall. Lavr is friendly towards him and often prefers to eat in the kitchen next to him and Rahadin.

🦇 Vera (Volenta) crossed paths with Lavr while he was running through the forest in the guise of a wolf. Lavr didn't realise who she was at first and spoke to her like an animal to an animal (I can't imagine what her opinion of him was then). They hardly ever see each other and get along best when hunting with wolves in the forest rather than chatting in person.

🦇 The meeting with Escher was vivid and full of mutual taunts because the latter saw Lavr as a rival. On their first day of acquaintance, they had a rapier fight while standing on the ceiling. After a few more encounters, their relationship softened, they chatted a lot and discussed a lot of things. Now I would call their relationship amicably affectionate, and Escher sees Lavr as a ‘fellow troubled soul’.

🦇 Lavr met Lubov (Ludmila) while studying alone in the library. She came to collect some books and immediately captivated Lavr with her majesty and grace. He is still embarrassed and blushes at her appearance. Lubov herself treats him more like a funny kitten, which Strahd likes for some reason.

🦇 Nadejda (Anastrasia) is the only one who has formed a negative impression of herself, which remains so to this day. She too sees Lavr as a rival, tried to magically charm him when they first met and generally enjoys teasing by flirting with Strahd in front of Lavr.

Of course with many there are very interesting personal scenes that led to this kind of relationship, but I've tried to be as brief as possible!

Careful! A lot of AFKJ thought process with my Merlin x Dr Who!

So, I have been rewatching Dr.Who recently, and it's occurred to me that the reason why I like Merlin a lot is because they're so similar to the Doctor.

A person, who wanders here and there, helping anyone they can, wreaking the timeline, the one who questions their own morality and whether they're a good man or not. A person, whose name is a title. Faces, faces, so many faces, that are needed to preserve the balance of the universe, there for guiding people to the light...while this light is slowly getting extinguished in their own eyes until they become something closeted, until they make one wrong move, until they lose something, someone.

Maybe that's why I'm calling my Merlin the Chancellor. Like the Doctor. Worse, like the War Doctor, the one who refused his own name because he didn't deserve it, just like in Postcanon!AU Chancellor doesn't deserve (self-implicatedly) the title of Merlin.

But I wonder, then, is the Master's position taken by Cyran? Past best friend, who studied in the Academy/Lyceum, the one on the other side of the chessboard now, cunning and vicious when needed. Delgado!Master sounds awfully like Cyran actually.

Oh, and the implications...you know, when Simm!Master was dying, doesn't it have the same feeling as of when Cyran could (did, in my AU case) die too? The refusal of help, the passionate hatred towards what could be a perfect friendship, be they on the same side.

And I wonder, how could I change the story if I were to cross it with a bit of dr who stitching, if I could write them a new chapter..

If I could make them happy. We could.
