Witch Tips

Witch tips from a witch who has practiced for many years; here are some of my traditional beliefs as well as things I picked up along the way. 💫

🔮 When foraging, do not forget to thank for what you took. Thanks the gods, the fae, the earth, or whomever you worship, but do not just take.

🌙 Wear beautiful clothes when performing a ritual. Before I get into saying anything else I want to say - There is NO PRICE VALUE which makes the ritual clothes beautiful. They do not have to be expensive, or a certain brand, or from a certain place, or anything of the sort. Just make sure that they are well taken care of and that you think they are beautiful.

🔮 People will rarely understand you, and most do not actually even want to. But the trees. The plants. Animals of the earth. Rivers, still and moving water. The stars and the moon. They understand, they will listen, and if you listen, too, you will hear what you need to and be validated and understood. People alive thousands of years before you have been sharing the same heartbreak, pain, suffering, and struggle with the universe. It understands. It has heard before, and will listen again.

🌙 When trying to meditate, you are not actually doing anything wrong by being unable to “clear your mind.” The goal is not actually to have a blank mind, but an open and receptive one. If a thought pops in suddenly, acknowledge it, dismiss it, and move on. It doesn’t mean you’re not focused or doing it wrong.

🔮 Another note about meditation; there is no shame in needing herbs to achieve meditation. There is nothing wrong with you. Some people just need the extra help, and that is okay! It is also a traditional part of many practices to smoke, ingest, or otherwise consume herbs before a ritual/meditation/journey/etc. This pertains to herbs such a kava, sage, wormwood, mugwort, and cannabis. (Do not use unless you ask a doctor, know it’s safe, and so on.)

🌙 Wisdom is the combination of emotion and logic. To make a wise decision, validate the emotion and why it is being felt, look at the logic and the facts, and combine the information for the answer.

🔮 Do not be discouraged that you cannot find witches (or Wiccans, Pagans, Druids, etc) where you live. We are here. We are all over the world. It is just unsafe in some places to practice openly. But if you look for us, you will find us.

🌙 Intent is the most powerful ingredient you have.

🔮 There are hundreds (if not thousands) or ways to create a sigil, and you can make a sigil hundreds of different ways. This also goes for charging and activating sigils.

🌙 You can practice both black and white magick at the same time.

🔮 Bullying other witches is never a good idea. Obviously, bullying anyone is never a good idea and you shouldn’t, but in my years I have seen over and over again it happen when one witch attacks another and then that witch comes down with horrible luck. That is not just because they were cursed by people who support the witch who was being bullied (which is also a huge risk, and causes a lot of issues and conflict) but the universe knows when a witch attacks another witch, and it doesn’t like that. (This does not include calling someone out in an appropriate way for unacceptable behavior and so on. But when you do it about differing opinions….)

🌙 Never stop researching. You will never know everything.

🔮 Deciding that you want to start to practicing witchcraft does NOT mean you have do denounce any previous beliefs.

♈ Aries- You will come across new people or experiences that may make you feel uncomfortable at first, though it will not be long before these people/experiences can change your life for the better.

♍ Virgo- You will find a real sense of belonging this month. It could be at work,school, or even in your community. This may be something you have longed for and now you have finally found it.

♎ Libra- You will see some of your dreams become reality. Things you have worked and waited for will start to bloom and flourish in your life.

♏ Scorpio- You may find that this month is very tense and stressful for you but this will only benefit you. This may lead you to new job opportunities, or even new life experiences that will build and strengthen your character.

♑ Capricorn- You will find yourself re-evaluating some aspects of your life and though some have been enjoyable learning experiences you may find that it’s time to move on and grow even more.

♐ Sagittarius- A missed opportunity will present itself to you this month- something you thought would never come back around is here to offer you a second chance if you are willing to take it.

♒ Aquarius- This month will bring you purpose. You may have been struggling with figuring things out but you will be offered some clarity soon and be able to see your future more clearly.

♓ Pisces- This month is all about self care for you. Start to take more control within one for your primary relationships and begin to make decisions for your best interest.

I Think I Found A Cute Travel Witch Idea

I know that not all Dollar Stores doesn’t have the same things but here’s something that you could try.

Personally, I found this kit of Sour Candy Sprays.

They are really small and I was thinking “what if I took those spray bottles, clean them up and use them as travel sized potion bottles?”. And so I bought them, tasted them (they are kinda gross TBH), emptied them and transfered some of my potions/waters!

And so i have my ☽ Moon Rose Water ☾ and the Psychic Awareness Room Spray transered into those bottle so if i were to travel i could bring them with me!

Everyday Witchcraft

1. When you make your bed in the morning, as you do so, see all of the previous day’s troubles going to sleep, so it can’t bother you any further. 2. If you put on jewelry such as necklaces or rings, etc., give each one a specific task.  For example, hold your necklace in your hand and see it protecting you from negative people, before putting it on.  When you slip a ring on, hold it in your dominant hand and see it giving you courage to fight any possible obstacles in your way and then put it on. 3. If you have pets, when you fix their food, hold your hand over the dish and draw a pentacle with your hand and see the pentacle giving your pet healthy nourishment and keeping them well. (you can do the same for their water dish) 4. As you leave your house and are locking the doors, see the key also locking all negative spirits from your home and forbidding them entrance. 5. When you are brushing your teeth, bless the toothpaste so only sweet words come out throughout your day (by that I mean positive words, giving people who deserve it, compliments when they do a job correctly and so forth.) 6. As you apply your perfume or cologne (provided you do that, if not, you can do this with your deodorant), see it doing a service for you- such as helping you to talk more if you’re not very talkative but would like to become so, you can see it causing you to be more decisive at your job and so on. 7. If you’re into sigil magick, take a photo with your phone of a symbol you want to activate and then when you need to activate it, turn to that picture and let the screen of the phone dim to black. The process of turning the picture on and letting it dim down will activate the sigil for you. 8. When you turn music on, whether it’s in your car, an ipod, a phone, whatever, see the notes from the music clearing the air around you, creating fresh, positive energy encircling your area where the music is playing. 9. With each step you take, see yourself drawing energy from mother earth, into your entire being and energizing you throughout your day.  You can even do it this way: with each step of the left foot, you’re drawing energy in, with each step of the right foot, you’re removing negativity from yourself into the earth to be recycled. 10. Wear clothing that matches something you’re needing by using color correspondences. Every color has significance; by learning those, you can empower yourself each day just with your clothing selection.  Granted if you work in a place that requires a regular uniform look, you can use this technique with your underwear, socks and so forth.

Flower ink

So I came across this kickass idea to make your own ink… But get this… From flower petals! How awesome would that be to use in your BOS or Grimoire?!

How to do this?

Pick a flower, any kind you’d like and put the petals in a small jar. Then cover it with some warm water and leave overnight. Longer, if you want a darker tint to the water. That’s it. It’s as easy as that! Is this awesome or what?!

Witchy idea:

While getting a drink for someone, stir it clockwise and say a lil incantation:

“Should the drinker give consent,

return to them their energy spent”

That way you can try to be helpful while also not interfering with their free will!

This is particularly nice if you work at a returant or starbucks or something, or even just for getting tea for guests
