Amos and Cedric’s relationship always bothered me. Amos does care about Cedric but it always felt he treated as some sort of trophy much like how mother treated me. You can see it in the book and movie that Cedric isn’t comfortable with this. He pulls back when his father does this and honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole reason Cedric enter the tournament was to make his father happy. And it bothers me that we never see that addressed.

i don’t blame harry for being freaked out in order of the phoenix though, i mean i’d be fucked up if i learned that my eccentric old cat lady babysitter was secretly a wizard spy the whole time

More Harry Potter Books Are Coming This September — So The Story Isn’t Over Yet
Not only do we get The Cursed Child in July and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them in November, but now we get three new short stories in September!
Let’s have a closer look at what these first three books are going to contain:
The first is called Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists. It sounds like this book is going to get pretty dark. Azkaban, Dolores Umbridge, and the young Tom Riddle all make an appearance.
Next up, we have Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies. This one focuses on two of the bravest characters in the whole franchise — and, incidentally, my two absolute faves. Yep, this book is all about Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin.
And finally, we have Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide. Now, this definitely isn’t the same book Hermione Granger was always carting around — but maybe it will help us get even half as knowledgeable about the magical school as our favourite witch was.
The Pottermore Presents books will be available for download from Amazon, iBooks, and Barnes & Noble. Can September 6 get here already?

If you’re having a bad day just imagine toddler age Scorpius and Albus playing with Harry’s invisibility cloak
Albus hysterically crying when Scorpius crawls under it and disappears and rushing to get his dad and try to explain to him that he’d somehow lost his best friend
Harry shaking his head in intense bemusement and whisking the cloak off a shell shocked Scorpius who immediately begins crying and waving his little arms, his blonde hair sticking up on end
Albus wrapping himself around his bedraggled friend and cuddling him fiercely, glaring at the invisibility cloak and crying when Harry attempts to get it near him again
‘My Scorpius! No! NO!’
Albus and Scorpius spending the rest of the day cuddled up together, Albus not ever going more than a few feet away from Scorpius and always returning to pet his little friend’s hair and give him reassurance
Draco picking Scorpius up later that day and seeing his son practically smothered by Albus, his face smeared with paint and his hair being put in bunches by the giggling Potter
Draco turning to Harry with the driest and most exasperated of expressions
‘I left him here for five hours and he’s already married your son- I can see it in his eyes. Merlin help us…’
Harry shrugging and grinning widely, full of only love for his son and his new found friend
‘I call dibs on being the cool father-in-law’

do you ever think about how voldemort was 72 when he died? like, this dude spent his whole life trying to figure out immortality. as a wizard he’d probably have made it to 200 if he just ate healthy, got regular exercise, had wizard doctor checkups, whatever.
and like, the philosopher’s stone existed! no-drawbacks immortality was already a thing, they established this in the first book, nicholas flammel and his wife had been using it for centuries and by all accounts being pretty decent people and not fucked up psycho murder snakes so maybe tom riddle could have just asked very nicely to use it for a little bit, like, before he did a bunch of evil shit??
instead, no. he goes and decides the solution to dying is to turn into like nightmare snake hitler, start two civil wars, and croak at an age some muggles don’t even retire at.
worst villain ever.
