Since the guardian told Anne that she's supposed to live until her 90s and die of old age, what would happen if she were in a situation that would end in death for any other human before that age? Would she escape death due to some kind of nearly statistically impossible medical miracle? Would she fully die but then come back to life with her body cloned yet again? Would she end up in some sort of bizarre purgatory for however many years?
#ooh the respawning is really interesting#i never considered that the guardian would do that again. sorta like a one time use it wisely type thing#i suppose the guardian would have a vested interest in keeping her alive though#imagine a 5+1 type fic of times anne dies/is in a near death experience#someone better than me should get on that id read the hell out of it

Remember the scene where Anne cuts her finger on the edge of a poster in the king's castle and the scene focuses on her cut finger and the poster in the background for waaaaay too long and too intentionally to be casual. And she broke that same arm in the first season. And she's constantly mentioning limb loss in a rhetorical sense. And robots and statues and other things she's fighting also lost limbs constantly. And remember when her blue powers made it so she couldn't move her arms and she made a point to say it. Remember the increasing references to limb loss and amputation in season 3. And remember how literally NOTHING CAME OF THAT???????????
#thats why i like post amphibia aus that focus on the darker side of their recovery#like the ones where anne loses an arm and maybe has an identity crisis about having died#or marcy ends up in a wheelchair/chronically ill in some capacity#sometimes i see ones where sasha loses an eye and thats cool too#maybe im just a glutton for angst but i say put them through the ringer!

i've always found the argument that doctor who insists donna is important as her own person very strange, because what doctor who actually tells you is that donna is super important because she has some mysterious intertwining destiny with the doctor and then she has to go back to being a lesser version of herself because being so important will kill her if she keeps doing it
#the worst part about this is thats its so easy to fix its insane#all you have to do is take out the season long tease of the prophecy of the doctordonna#and make the throughline about Donna's empowerment and learning to trust/believe in herself#that gives us the end result but gives donna more agency#and most importantly doesnt contradict the narrative that people are special because they are ordinary#then her ending while remaining tragic is less like “it was always going to go this way” and more “it didnt have to go this way”

When Grace was younger she was definitely the type of camper who had trouble making friends with kids her age so she just sat and chatted with the counselors 90% of the time
#this girl does not know how to socialize with people her own age#her friends are 1) her parents and 2) adults that are also authority figures

always always thinking about aroallo Grace Chasity <3 the irony of the biggest prude you'll ever meet exclusively experiencing "impure" sexual attraction, no romance at all in that girl. she'd spiral so hard over it if she realized what she lacked. how filthy and broken it would make her feel, with no words to describe her experience and no one to talk to because it's too shameful. if lust is a sin and she experiences lust with no love, what does that mean?? she can't comprehend that it means nothing and it's literally fine. she's having an awful time. it's so compelling to me I can't get over it

Becca being voted off was one of the saddest moments in game changer to me
#genuinely she sounded like she was about to cry#and whether that was an attempt to act drunk or her real reaction it broke me

If Nick and Matt aren't going to have the time/resources to turn all these ideas into Nightmare Time episodes or stage shows then I NEED them to write a short story collection or something. Please, Langs, I will pay real money to read it.

Hannah being 20 at the time of Orbweaver would be fucking devastating btw cause omg. The fact that they’ve been on the run for literal years then, probably barley getting by. Matt suggesting that there would be tension between the sisters now that Hannah isn’t a kid anymore. Imagine how hopeless and frustrated they would both feel. The fact that Lex was someone who was robbed of childhood because she had to take care of her mother, herself, AND Hannah at a young age, and now Hannah was practically robbed of her childhood plus her teen years. It’s so tragic.
#the lang brothers created the foster sisters in a lab to torture me psychologically#every possible development in their lore and relationship is enough to rewire my brain

i know there's still some possibility of nmt 3 happening but it's not looking good for the stories that weren't talked about on the "divining the future" live... which makes me a little sad bc i wanted to know why becky barned climbed a tree
#i know nick said he thinks the zoom style is off putting for people#and like i understand that totally#but at the same time I'd take that format over not seeing those stories at all

Thinking about Bill and Alice again because of the tarot cards. Alice is desperate to be independent and peruse her dreams. Bill is desperate to connect with her and doesn’t want to let her go. The way Bill’s tarot card emphasizes how flawed he is. He’s got his own issues, on top of not understanding Alice… but he wants to, he loves her. Alice wants to be in a position where she doesn’t have to dependent on her dad, where she can be free, but she loves her dad too. They love each other, but the circumstances are so complicated and messy.
