Idc what people think i'd refer to suns as she/her or he/him or neopronouns if i felt like it. Nothing is stopping people from headcanoning pebbles as transfem/masc or nsh with she/her pronouns but everyone gets so pissed when it comes to suns. i desperately need to animate earthquake weather by beck but with rain world the watcher but there’s already a rain world animatic with earthquake weather (thats also extremely impressive) and i don’t want to seem like i’m copying it 😢😢😢 the “something’s coming , sky is purple” and “i push , i pull , the days go slow , into a void we filled with death and noise that laughs , falls off their maps , all cured of pain and doubts in your little brains” FITS TOO WELL WITH THE WATCHER BUT IM TOO SCARED TO SEEM LIKE IM COPYING AND GET FLAMED FOR IT CRIES ,,,

i understand the complaints that people have abt watcher but i feel like we complain too much and appreciate too little

like i get that it feels unbalanced, and frustrating, and walking around blindly trying to find the next place to warp to can test your patience. but like. the ending?

i will confess i never got the prince ending myself and i honestly don't really care for it. like i've WATCHED it and i think it's cool and all but what really sticks with me is the spinning top ending

idk.. i like actually cried im ngl. it was so profound. i get how some people say they feel it's undeserved and they didn't know that was where the story was heading but i think it's intentional. i think that we weren't meant to really realize that. i think we were meant to be thrown in blind. i think the devs wanted us to feel how the watcher did. and i know i did!!

like they made spinning top endearing for a REASON. even when i got angry about being sent to aether ridge for the 183495th time i would always enjoy myself a lot when i got to talk to them

and i had felt emotional blow after emotional blow. there was so much significance for ME, as the player, seeing the shadows of the ancients walk by. hearing their voices. seeing how they LIVED. like you don't even have to particularly care to think it's COOL to see that. and then i saw spinning top and that dialogue in their room broke my heart.

and then i found them in the void bath room. & it fucked me up really bad. because that was the MOMENT i realized what the reason behind that whole journey was. and i had become so fond of ST i was happy that they could finally move on and not be haunted by the question if anyone missed them anymore but i also felt so. hollow. because the ONE thing that kept me company, the ONE thing that remained ever constant in a scary, ever-changing world was disappearing.

and then i found the toys, and i cried again. but i was happy! and i was having fun! i don't know. maybe i'm too emotional and connect to things too easily. but there was genuinely such a childlike joy in playing with them. a brief moment of respite in a world that wants you dead. it's not something you (or i) expect from rainworld and that's what made it so profound. all of it was so profound. i love the watcher

the disparity between amount of downpour fans and amount of watcher fans is insane. i open the watcher tag and i scroll through several months worth of posts in a minute or 2. i open the downpour tag and it takes me 10 minutes to get to posts from last month. its genuinely insane.
