I was feeling out of it and was just going to do the quiz for interest's sake and then I thought it was so funny that I had to make a post.

You know, I can see it. Amadis does have some Will Turner vibes and Illario makes for a wonderful Elizabeth Swann. This is a pirate AU I can get behind.

I don't particularly feel like any couple on this list can encapsulate exactly their dynamic but I truly enjoy how much gender is going on here

The unknown journal entries are Renoir speaking to each of his children, and it's so obvious that he loves them and just wants them to be happy. But his advice to each of them says so much about the Dessendre siblings and they way they move through life differently. Clea and her endless work toward perfection. Verso and his hiding behind masks. Alicia and her fear/pain holding her back.

What's an unsavory detail about your OC or opinion they have (to a modern Tumblr audience)?

What fills your OC with envy? Alternatively who does your OC envy and why?

HELLO thank you for the questions from the Ugly OC Asks, I've been so excited to get to these!

What's an unsavory detail about your OC or opinion they have (to a modern Tumblr audience)?

I feel like "torture is okay as long as it makes you stronger" is perhaps a bit too easy given her background. Murder's fine as long as you're doing it for the Right Reasons (getting paid and have a contract paper trail because you're an assassin, not a serial killer), also pretty par for the course for a Crow.

Maybe the most unsavoury is that seeing the life drain from someone's eyes makes her feel powerful. She feels abandoned by the Maker, as well she is since it's chantry doctrine that he's turned his back on the world, and in that moment when they beg for their lives they are looking at her and not their god. She feels like she has agency then in a way that she never has elsewhere; she's owned by the Crows, and before that she had nothing. It's alluring, that sense of power and control that she lacks elsewhere.

When she's on a contract, she feels free.

What fills your OC with envy? Alternatively who does your OC envy and why?

Peers being praised for the same things that she's achieved. So much of her adolescence was being pushed to excel and barely receiving recognition before the goalposts were moved and she had to strain even further. She craves recognition so deeply that it hurts and rarely receives it. She believes that if she had more approval she would finally feel content - she wouldn't, but it's definitely the thing she envies most when she sees it given to others.
