This has just become random main blog mess. So if I followed you for something specific, I'll probably be interacting from a sideblog. Here, fandom wise you will find some spn, criminal minds, and marvel. Otherwise, lgbtq stuff, animals, and random things that catch my interest. 24, he/they

I just realized I’m old enough to be someone’s dad technically, so if you’re trans and your parents suck I’m your dad and mom now

some of yall don’t realize that a good chunk of what trans women experience IS androphobia. but we don’t call it “transandrophobia” [trans androphobia] because they are women. we call it transmisogyny [transphobia against transfems]. we all agree on that
so
even though a good chunk of what trans men experience is misogyny, we call it transandrophobia [transandro phobia] [transphobia against transmascs] because we are not women
#damn so many of the notes on this post really do prove that people can't fucking read huh?#if you came away from this post thinking it meant that OP sees trans women as men and trans men as women you are simply fucking stupid#it's not transphobic to *checks notes* acknowledge how transphobic people think and how that impact trans people?#like holy shit

#this is why it genuinely baffles me that people somehow watched supernatural for recreation but then say they don't like Sam????!#like why are you watching a TV show if you don't like the literal main character? it makes absolutely no sense to me#just seems like you're torturing yourself for no reason at that point. if you don't like the main character of a show watch a different show#Dean is also a main character and it also baffles me when people hate him too but claim to like the show#like buddy if you hate the central characters of a show I really don't think you actually enjoy said show

people will see a community which has only in the last 50-60 years stopped being institutionalized to death (or rather, that happens less) and say "you have male privilege"
#yeah this one puts it really succinctly actually#honestly I'd make that time frame a bit shorter too

I don't know how to tell you this gently, this type of behavior is a massive part of the problem.
We need to do something about straight women's misery in their hetero relationships they're largely just resigned to living in I'm so serious. Can we try women's lib again can we liberate the women
#I could and really Should elaborate in the tags but I'm too tired tbh#long story short: being heterosexual is not and never has been the problem#the answer to straight women's suffering in relationships isnts to tell them to be gay. that's incredibly unhelpful#and completely ignores the actual issues at hand#in fact you just recreated political lesbianism and that's Not Good#I don't have the energy to elaborate further right now. and I get this reply was partially a joke. but it really rubs the wrong way#cause you entirely missed the point and stumbled into old harmful rhetoric

Iced or at the very least cold water at restaurants has always been the default wherever I had been in the US (and outside of the US tbh). Then I went to Chicago and for some reason they serve you warm ass water at all the restaurants??? I was so disappointed, like what the hell is this? I know you have ice in Illinois, why are you not using it? I was so so strange and genuinely knocked down my dining experience by a point. The food was generally amazing but then I had to drink warm water and that was just not pleasant, especially when it was hot out. What does Chicago have against ice in your water?
Some of anon's friends who live in North America think it's weird to drink warm water, so they're wondering if that's a cultural difference specific to North America.

fun little reminder that nonbinary people are trans! this means that a binary trans person realizing theyre nonbinary isn't detransitioning, and a nonbinary person realizing theyre binary trans isn't becoming 'really trans'. being nonbinary isn't a fucking placeholder for a binary gender and if you think so you can go fuck yourself
#all the people in the notes saying 'but some nonbinary people don't consider themselves trans!!!1!!!' are correct yes#but making this post all about the REALLY feels similar to the people who have to specify all the time that ace people can still have sex#like yeah that is factually correct. but it's really not the main topic at hand and when nearly alllll the replies are that same exact thing#it gets pretty uncomfortable that that's the thing people are now zeroing in on#even if the nonbinary person in question personally doesn't consider themselves trans#that in itself won't stop them from potential experiencing transphobia and exorsexism based on their nonbinary identity#nonbinary people by and large do consider themselves trans and nonbinary people are an incredibly important part of the trans community#to exclude nonbinary people as a whole from transness is just massively inaccurate exorsexist and super harmful

It’s more comforting to convince yourself that all men are assholes then it is to face reality which is that your ex boyfriend wasn’t destined to become an asshole but for a variety of complicated societal and personal reasons he ended up that way anyways even though he could’ve chosen to not be an asshole
