Well Loyals, it looks like there will not be a season 5 of The Royals. It sucks that they weren’t able to get picked up but at least the ending is now up to us.

To our handsome Prince Liam, William Moseley. You brought our favorite Prince to life. You gave us all expectations. You gave us someone we would want to be with or someone who we wanted as a brother.

To our beautiful Princess Eleanor, Alexandra Park. You gave Eleanor the most beautiful story. From her drug and drinking fueled nights to her finally finding happiness with her bodyguard. You gave Len a beautiful redemption story while making us all wish we had you as a sister.

To our English speaking bodyguard turned Knight Jasper Frost, Tom Austen. You made us love to hate you. We hated you for how you controlled Len at first but then we loved you when we saw how in love with her you became. You gave so many dimensions to Jasper making him seem so real to us.

Thank you to the core 3 who gave us an amazing show to watch every single week. Thank you to our Prince, our Princess, and our Knighted bodyguard. We will never forget you.

William, Alex, Tom. I wish you luck on your next adventure. I will certainly keep Liam, Eleanor and Jasper alive in my heart and on my television in replays of The Royals.

The Royals 4x10 recap:

Well, Loyals. I know I missed two weeks worth of recaps. But I saved the best for last. The season finale. Now, even though it is the season finale, I will still reposting gifs and posts about the Royals during the hiatus. Now that that’s settled, shall we go onto the recap?

The opening shot was very well done! Whoever directed this episode knew what they were doing. 

Also, why am I getting a creepy feeling from this opening? I feel like it’s not the real wedding at all. Just the music that’s playing is very creepy. Just me? Okay. Moving on!

I knew it! It was just way too creepy! 

I love that Jasper is still writing Len letters. It’s how things started between them and I feel like they’re going to be writing each other letters for years. 

Oh, Kathryn and Liam. I’m not gonna lie. I actually do love them together. They kind of have the whole Liam/Ophelia thing going on but it’s much stronger. 

Max Brown plays Robby so well. That’s what makes a great actor. If they can play the character and make you hate them. 

I love that Len and Liam set fire to the pictures of the three of them. It shows that no matter what, those two will be there for each other through thick and thin. 

Oh, Cyrus. You are so paranoid. I’m so glad you’re back at the palace being you’re crazy normal self. 

Oh, Willow. Please don’t tell him. Please don’t ruin what they’ve come up with and potentially get them killed. 

Oh jeez. I thought that was real. There are so many dream sequences in this episode. I don’t like it! 

Welp, so much for being his immediate detail and being able to control everything, Jasper. Now what’s the plan? Hide the new bodyguard and replace him with yourself?

Oh James. I love you so much. 

Out of all the songs to play while they’re talking, they pick In The Air Tonight? I love that they all stopped talking and did the drum solo. When that hit you can’t help but play along to it. Trust me. I’ve done the exact same thing in the car. 

Oh that can’t be good. Willow’s mom and Helena do not get along. This is going to get interesting. 

Oh thank god, Willow isn’t tell him about the coup. I really thought she was going to tell him everything and potentially get everyone killed. 

Oh wow. Robert really just said that didn’t he? That if Willow was out, he needed to know because he needed to make other arrangements to potentially marry someone else? Jeez. 

Oh I can see the little seed of doubt in Willow’s eyes. She still doesn’t trust him especially after what he just said to her. About time you joined the fray Willow. 

Oh, James. I really do love you. I love you so much more than Ted Price. You’re actually funny and have a great relationship with everyone. 

Bringing Boone back is a very smart move on their part. Because all eyes will be on the family. Not on some random bystander in the crowd. Very smart play. 

I love how Len has decorated the church for the wedding. You can tell she really loves decorating and designing. Yes, Len. Talk to Robert about how Jasper not getting the letter bothers you. 

Screw you for lying to Len, Robert. You knew how much she was hurting when Jasper never got that letter. And you’re still lying to her. 

I love his dynamic between Jasper and Liam. They really and truly are more like brothers than employee/employer. 

Oh I love these Jaspenor moments. It makes me wish for their relationship. You can tell that they really do love each other. And after everything that they’ve been through. Oh my gosh, Jasper really did just subtly propose to Len. They are totally endgame! My Jaspenor heart is melting!

I already hate this Mason Stark. He’s so annoying. I’m glad James was there. I love how snarky he gets!

Oh snap! Felicity you just made a big mistake commenting about Alastair Lacey. You deserve the bitch fight that’s coming. 

Oh Papa Frost. Coming in to save the day once again.

I was totally just kidding about hiding the new bodyguard. I didn’t think they’d actually do it!

Aw I love Kathryn and Liam together. Wait. WHAT?! She’s pregnant? Oh my gosh! I definitely did not see that one coming! 

I’m glad we got to see Simon in the final episode of season 4. It kind of brings it full circle. 

I love Willow’s dress first and foremost. Oh god. I wonder what on earth Robert needs to talk to her about. 

I love seeing Liam all dressed up. In fact, I love seeing all the Henstridge’s dressed up. Especially Len and Jasper. I love how they always compliment each other. 

Oh god. I love how Papa Frost is the one “blessing” the rings. I love Jasper tried not to smile when he saw that his dad was giving him a gun. 

Oh god! Lucius is back?! Where is he taking Kathryn? Or did Liam send him? I’m so confused! Violet’s back too? What the hell is this?! Return of the previous characters?! 

Wait. What the absolute fuck?! She’s marrying him?! What the hell did he say to her to make her change her mind?! I’m so confused. And that’s the end of the episode until next season? What the hell man!

Ugh. I really wanna know what Robert said to Willow to make her change her mind about marrying him. And what is Lucius doing back and where is he taking Kathryn?

‘Jasper & Eleanor’ 4x08 “In The Dead Vast and Middle of The Night” The Royals

The Royals Episode 4x07 Recap: Here it is Loyals:

I love the opening scene with Len playing Robin Hood. It really shows that she’s willing to get hurt to help people. I love how much she’s changed since the beginning of the series. 

I’ll admit, Willow and Robert are a cute couple. I just have a feeling something is about to go wrong in their relationship. And I really hope I’m wrong about it. 

I don’t trust Kathryn. It seems like she doesn’t really know who she wants. Right now, it’s Liam but that could very well change. I want to see Liam and Robby happy but not at the expense of their brotherhood. 

Helena, I love you. I love how fiercely protective she is of her family. Even if that means squashing the fact that Liam wants to bring Kathryn to an event. 

Oh Jasper looks so uncomfortable while he’s getting tailored for a suit. He looks like he just wants to be anywhere but there. Robert, just let the man wear his own watch! Not everyone has to be prim and proper and wear a nice watch. 

Willow, you really should listen to Helena. She has been doing this for a lot longer than you have. Just humor her and listen. She knows what she’s talking about. It seems like Willow is finally realizing that being Robert’s fiancé, she can’t be working for him and I don’t think she likes that. She seems like, to me, to be the girl that likes working. 

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. I love refugee Cyrus. That’s all I have to say on that. 

This whole press conference thing is just awkward. I would not be able to handle sitting there while the press asked about my relationship with my fiancé. Talk about creepy. 

I love these Jaspenor scenes. It shows that they really want to be normal while also showing how hard it is to be in the public eye. I really do hope this knighthood brings them closer together. But I loved their little fight about Len’s mission. You can see that they are both passionate about what is close to their heart. Am I the only one who got a flashback to season 1 when Jasper pulled the blanket from Len, leaving her exposed? I love these parallels I keep seeing. 

Oooh wrong decision Willow. You really should’ve listened to Helena. Now, you’re going to see what happens when you tell the truth. Helena was more than likely trying to protect you. 

I love Helena in this episode. She is so amazing. I love how Len came in to distract her but ended up throwing one of the Bluebirds under the bus. I love that as soon as Len learned the truth about the pen, she went back to the house where she left it to try and get it back. 

Yup. Willow, you should’ve listened to Helena. She definitely knows how the press works and she just showed you that. Welcome to the royal family, Willow. You just made a frenemy out of Helena. #GoodLuckWithThat. 

I love how Jasper just knew that Len was coming in to ask for a favor. I love Jasper calls her Princess as a nickname. I also love that he continues to correct her sayings when she says them wrong. 

Jasper is probably thinking “what have I gotten myself into?” 

Something is about to go down at this gala, involving Liam, Kathryn, Willow and Robert. Willow just seems way too under prepared to handle the press. But I like that Liam took all the attention away and put it onto himself so that she could breathe. It shows that he really wants to be her friend again and he’s willing to put all the pressure into himself. 

I love the conversation between Len and Jasper while they’re in the house. It shows that they really are wanting to be together forever. I also love the smile Len gives him when they are in the closet. It shows that she’s sorry for how the night turned out but she got the pen back. 

I love that scene of Len and Jasper in the closet. It shows how vulnerable Len is with him and she wants to prove that she really does love him. I’m honestly in love with Len’s character development this season. She’s sassy, funny, and she just wants people to know the real her. 

Helena was such a treasure this episode. From trying to prevent Liam from exposing his relationship to praising him for doing so, to saying snarky things about the bluebirds. She was such a gift this episode. 

Robert. Your brother just saved your fiancé from looking like a fool in front of the press. The least you could do is say thank you and walk away. At least pretend to be thankful. 

Aw, Len's speech almost made start crying. It really shows that her and Helena have come a really long way since season 1. I don’t think season 1 Eleanor would’ve said those thing about her mother. It shows that they both have grown up and really value their relationship. 

Damn it, Robert. You just can’t let Liam be happy, can you? You just got engaged. Jesus Christ. I wonder how Willow will react if she finds out that Robert propositioned Kathryn. 

Kathryn. Why would you do that? You have an amazing guy in Liam. Yet you want to throw that away to be with Robert, who is engaged and your boyfriends brother. You just can’t seem to make up your mind can you? 

Again, I love all these Jaspenor scenes. They make my shipper heart jump for joy. 

Welp, I definitely saw this coming with Kathryn and Robert. Robert wants to control his brother and by getting rid of Kathryn, that’s exactly what he’s doing. He’s bringing Liam closer by saying that he wants to protect him from getting hurt, all the while, Robert is the one hurting him. Seeing Liam’s face when he sees Robert and Kathryn is just heartbreaking. I feel really bad for him. He just wants to be happy for once. 

Well, that’s the recap this week. I’m starting a new job tomorrow so hopefully I can stick to the schedule of posting these recaps on the Monday after the episode. But I will certainly keep you updated on if I can or not.
