According to my last post it’s been six months since I last logged in here to set up this blog, and 9 months since I posted on welastrolls, and tbh it feels a lot longer? I miss trolls and roleplay, and I don’t have any idea who is still around or not around at this point! I’m not sure when I’m going to have time to come back- my current job has me in this place of being on-call to go in 7-days a week, I work anywhere between 4-11 hour days with no consistency or predictability, and only get 5 or 6 days off each month, in which I am attempting to plan a wedding, and do all that other normal people daily stuff that needs doing on days off. Trolls has definitely taken a back seat to me just trying to keep my head above water.

I’ve been really struggling to come up with ideas lately, so I thought it would be fun to put a list of ideas together and share it. The theme for these is growing up, which is a really hard thing to do on Alternia. (It’s hard, and nobody understands.)

You can interpret these however you want, do them out of order, pick out only what you like; do art, writing, music, or whatever other medium you like best.

isham has bioluminsecent freckles on his face, from forehead down the side of his nose and neck and sides of chest and shoulderblades, and on the top of his forearms. He’s got super super frilly fins and gills, and fins on pinky sides of his arms (although this is just for a bust so idt his arms will be important but WHATEVER). However you want to draw his ear fins and gills is A-Okay, I just draw my ear fins the way I do because it’s easy and I am lazy.  I really liked the way you drew the fins on your sprite of Thunder!

His vest covers his gills but has zippers on the sides where he can unzip them if he needs to swim. His hair is basically he shaved the sides down, not touching the top of center on the back of his head, and not touching the hair in front of his ears, and now he’s just letting that shaved part grow back out, so it’s shorter than the rest, but not totally shaved (does that make sense?) He’s generally super dramatic and catwalk-y, so his version of a smile is more of what he thinks is a “sexy smoulder” or smirk, and less genuine smile. The face of someone doing a super pretentious fashion shoot. He’s based on a betta fish, so his whole thing is being super fancy and flashy and confrontational, and only vaguely threatening and totally ineffective at following up on those threats.

 I’ve got 24~ trolls and I’m on a quest to get a colored bust for all of them, each troll drawn by a different person.

Preference is for people in the fantroll community before looking at non-fantroll people, and monthly budget for this is $70~ so it’s going to be a multi-month thing. So even if you’re busy now, if you’ll be free later on, let me know!

I’ve met a lot of people in my time RPing, and I’ve met a lot of people who are very insecure over their roleplay and get a lot of hate for it. So!

Noble roleplayers, whether your house is an entirely original idea or inspired by something else

Roleplayers who use titles like “Highlord” or “Archmage” ICly

Roleplayers whose characters are “tropes” like the suave rogue woman or the honorable handsome knight

Those who roleplay controversial things, like Scarlets and criminals

Those who enjoy dark roleplay, in whatever flavor that comes in for you

Those who used to be really good at roleplaying, then something happened and you feel like you can’t hold a candle to how you used to be

Those who prefer to roleplay background characters like a blacksmith or a cook rather than an adventurer

Those who are new and still learning the ropes

Those who roleplay LGBTQ+ characters

Those who roleplay non-white characters and constantly have to defend as to if it’s “lore friendly,”

Those who roleplay having a personal relationship with a major lore character, or having an artifact ICly

Those who follow lore to a t

Those who stretch lore 

Those who disregard lore all together and write their own original stories within the game

Roleplayers who try to be as practical as possible when it comes to combat, weapons and armor

Roleplayers who prefer to take the more fantastical route, entering battle bare-legged and with a weapon as big as they are
