Follow the lives of the Crabb family as they seek the path of righteousness. When in doubt, always ask: WWJD?
NOTE: I do not support nor am I promoting Fundamentalist Christian beliefs. This blog is for snark and entertainment purposes only.
Jeanie is having trouble conceiving after Griffin. To take her mind off things, her friends convince her to go to the flea market with them. Buy used, save the difference!
Looking through the stalls, she realizes that she cannot afford anything they’re selling. She’s embarrassed, but remembers that living a Godly life means giving up earthly pleasures.
While out, Jeanie joins her friends for a scandalous game of basketball. Nike!
She feels guilty and wants to bring her friends back to the path of righteousness.
But it’s a big city, where they don’t know anyone. Maybe just once is alright...
Note: the Sim in pink is from a Gallery family, but I can't find the original. If I do, I'll edit this post to credit the creator!
Gene (light blue) is quickly joined by Georgia (white) and then Griffin (dark blue). The Crabbs now have three sweet blessings! Jeanie knows that Georgia will be such a big help.
She tries to guide her children in the word of the Lord, but holding the attention of three toddlers proves very difficult.
[A/N] My sims are really filling out into characters now, and I'm able to tell the story through them instead of around them. I'm also getting the hang of using the camera to capture the best moments. And yes, I'm going with "G" names. They're a bit more formal and "old-fashioned" (not necessarily in a cool way), and I wish I could make up silly fundie/trendy names, but we're going to do the best we can with Gordon and Gretchen and Greg lol
The Crabb family jumps from one infant to three toddlers with this update because actually caring for infants instead of aging them up after going "ooh look, a baby!" is... harder than I expected. So I was busy trying to keep everyone alive.
Thanks for reading, and for following Mark, Jeanie, and their Gremlins! They are truly humbled :)
Time passes so quickly... Jeanie feels like she was only pregnant for two days! Welcome to the world, Gene Crabb! Hopefully caring for this bundle of joy will lighten Jeanie's heart.
Mark’s writing career isn’t taking off like he thought it would. After meeting his son for the first time, he goes out to the canal behind the house and throws a line in. Jesus was a fisher of men, but maybe he can be a fisher of cash?
Hopefully he catches something soon, because the Crabbs had to sell their kitchen cabinets to pay their bills.
Mark tries his hand at children’s ministry literature to supplement his income as a preacher. He wants to spread the Word any way that he can!
Jeanie is expecting! She passes the time with her Bible while she waits for this season of life to begin. This week’s lesson is on the Book of Revelation...
Mark stumbles through his first sermon. The members of the Crabb's home church listen politely, but no one is impressed. How will Mark fulfill his dream of becoming a preacher if he can't inspire his congregation?
Jeanie eats leftover mac and cheese alone in her bathrobe, again. She tries her best to stay cheerful, but she can't help feeling jealous of the stylish, Godly women she sees on Simstagram. Marriage is less fulfilling than she thought it would be. If only the Lord would bless her with a child...
A practical and sturdy one bedroom house is more than enough for these newlyweds. Mark bought and furnished it with no debt, and Jeanie is excited to make it a home.
Jeanie joyfully loads the dishwasher while Mark has his dinner. They even have a TV! Mark loves to watch CBN-- the Christian Broadcasting Network. Sometimes the signal is fuzzy, but the Crabbs feel truly blessed.
I’ve been playing the Sims 4 and snarking on fundamentalist Christians for a long time, and I was so excited to find this community of fundie simblrs!
I’m slowly putting my blog together and finding all the right CC and mods (and learning how to take screenshots that are actually good) but I’ll start updating on my family soon.
