I love thinking about jet lag from a random observer’s POV it’s so funny lol

jet lag: the game is so fucking funny. imagine you are an australian fisherman. two american 20-something-year-olds show up at your pier trying desperately to catch a fish. they clearly have never fished before and are very poorly attempting to do so. their fishing rod falls apart immediately. they just start scooping at the water. one of them is fully about to undress and jump in the ocean when all of a sudden they notice they did manage to get the tiniest minnow possible in their net. they celebrate this catch, and then one of them immediately says “we gotta go back to the airport soon”

it must be so funny to be any of the jet lag boys because the way they travel is so insane it's like "yeah i've been to italy" and then someone could be like "oh, did you like it? did you visit rome or something?" and they're like no. i went to the padua train station 18 times.
