“It meant the world to Marius that he was not walking on this beach alone, that Daniel was walking at his side.“

Marius & Daniel | Rio de Janeiro
And Daniel was certainly happy now in Rio de Janeiro. Tonight Daniel was hunting in the old Leda section of Rio, feasting slowly and stealthily among the dancing, singing, partying crowds, drunk no doubt on music as well as on blood… | Rio is vast. Rio is surely the greatest hunting ground in the world with its teeming masses, and its high star-spangled skies, its ocean breezes, its great drowsy green trees, its endless pulse from sunset to sunrise. - Prince Lestat

thevampiremariusderomanus:
There was such chaos in the mind and heart of this young mortal whose face bore the lines and shadows of exhaustion, cheeks drawn, eyes dark but glowing with fervent obsession. Once again, Marius felt his heart pull with empathy, and yes, even fear for this one no more than a boy. Marius knew he was in a place out of which nothing good could come. The boy had startlingly beautiful eyes, a rich and uncommon purple, and Marius was drawn to look into them.
So, his options were two: give the answers the boy sought or deny him. But really, there was a third option. He could slip into the boy’s mind and make him forget everything. Louis, Lestat, Armand, even him, would be buried so deep that not even the human’s dreams could revive a faded glimpse. Marius would then gather the tapes and crush them into pieces. But killing him? Not an option to cross his mind. Though touched by madness in the way most mortals who skirted their fringes did, he was not yet lost to it. At least Marius hoped. Such fervent thoughts, though.
Besides, Daniel was not to blame for any of this. He, unwitting and disbelieving, had been led into their world. That young one Louis? He was at fault, and Marius disliked that any of their kind would disclose their existence to the world. And if this Louis must, the least he could have done was leave out the names of others.
It had angered Marius to read of Armand, to feel a sense of… what? Exposure? That the world had no right to know of Armand’s suffering? Or his cruelty, the details of which had horrified Marius to a deeply-shaken core and left him there, as he read by the fire, filled with overwhelming and suffocating sickness. And when he closed his eyes, he could see that lost boy in his dirty, torn robes beneath the cemetery. Then to recall how he looked in his large red robe- a source of unspeakable grief that too left Marius reeling- there in the shimmering theater, empty but dangerous. And throughout it all, with a pale face so beautiful, too exquisite for any horror to ruin.
Centuries had gone. It was too late.
Marius shook himself from the dawning nightmare and focused on the heat of Daniel’s hand over his own. It seemed a good lesson for Daniel to feel his skin, cold and hard, in order to understand how far he was from humanity. That he was a dead thing, animated only by the hundreds of thousands of lives given to him. No, taken by him. He even turned his hand over after a moment to let Daniel see his palm, which bore no lines other than the deeply set crevices that naturally bent with his hand. The tendrils of fine lines found winding their unique patterns on the palms of humans or vampires not yet advanced in age were erased.
“Yes, most of us are very beautiful, I think. Either chosen because we are, or made so by the blood which makes us immortal. My name is Marius and you must never tell anyone of me,” he instructed. “Hide me deep. I could make you forget, you know. Would you like me to do that? There is no need for you to carry around this dark knowledge, not with the way it will inevitably eat at both your soul and sanity until neither are left. I’m not going to kill you because I do not kill the innocent, not for any reason no matter how justified it might be. Do you really want to suffer this lunacy any further?”
Daniel watched the immortal across from him and he bit his lip slightly. The last meeting with an immortal hadn't gone very well, and while he'd rather not die, he hadn't been able to stay away. What was this immortal's reaction to him? It was hard to read his expressions, even harder to read than Louis had been. He looked down as Marius flipped over his hand to look at his palm, and in awe, reached down to lightly trace over the deep-set creases.
"You have no fingerprints," he observed softly. "Is that... is that something that happens to all vampires?" He had to admit, he hadn't been looking too closely at Louis's hands, after all. He'd been so caught up in the story... he looked back up at Marius then, searching his face. But no, he had no wrinkles, no lines of any kind on his face either. As if made by marble. Louis had small creases in his forehead, and at the corners of his eyes, but Marius... he had none at all. Not on his hands, nor his face.
It made sense that they were all beautiful. Of course, who would want to live forever if they were unfortunate-looking? Staring at themselves in mirrors for hundreds of years if they had the slightest flaw. Or perhaps vampires weren't prone to being self-conscious? Were there ugly vampires? Never tell anyone? His brow furrowed slightly. He looked down at the cassettes on the table before him. The book he'd published had given him what funds he needed to travel to Paris to search for Armand.
Though he looked back at Marius as he frowned. Forget? No. He pulled his hand back away from Marius's hand, recoiling slightly. "I can't forget. No... no, I can't forget. The books, I'll remember. I wrote a book. I would have but to read it and remember." He shook his head, bowing over the table, pressing his face into his hands, which slid up over his head and into his hair. "I can't forget, why would you care? Whether I go mad or not, I am nothing, I am just... some nobody off the street."

Marius x Daniel
Tumblr media
// @daniel-james-molloy was a darling and commissioned me.
Some over-due cuddly times with Marius and Daniel (who is exhausted).
This pairing truly is under-repressented and I had lots of fun drawing those two. Glad you like it <3
Commissions are still open. I’m currently working on Nicolas x Santiago. You can find my commission infos pinned at the top of my blog or by clicking HERE. Feel free to ask about including face claims!

“I’ve missed you.”
Merry Christmas/happy holidays to you, @auburnandamberangel ! I am your Secret Santa, and here is my gift to you! :)
In your list of prompts, you mentioned “domestic cute” as a situation that you would like to see - it was what I would be most comfortable drawing, and then I had this idea about Armand and Daniel cuddling near the fireplace in a cozy domestic atmosphere, so I thought I would go for it. I had lots of fun painting this, and I hope you like it too! :)
I wish you have a beautiful holiday season with your loved ones, and keep up the great RP - I’ve loved your blog since forever! <3

Hello. What do you think about the violin artist lindsey stirling?
“She’s cool, I guess. I’m not much into the ‘classical’ type music, but it’s cool that she can take modern songs and play them on the strings.”

ENDLESS LIST OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS: DANIEL MOLLOY
Another world, that, when he had been a young reporter, roaming the bars of the world with his tape recorder, trying to get the floatsam and jetsam of the night to tell him some truth. Well, one night in San Francisco he had found a magnificent subject for his investigations. And the light of ordinary life had suddenly gone out.
Now he was a ruined thing, walking too fast under the lowering night sky of Chicago in October.

Daniel tipped his head a bit. "What happened then?" He wondered before the other male was stating that it was hard to tune out his thoughts because of all the blood that they had shared. "Well that wouldn't be an issue if you'd make me a vampire," Daniel stated firmly, watching Armand for a moment. "A gift? To get their mind read all the time? It's a curse. It's annoying and a total breach of privacy," Daniel objected. "I can't think of anyone that would want their inner most thoughts constantly at the mercy of someone else. Even if it's someone that they're dating."
Daniel watched as Armand got up off of him and he rose to his feet as well, beginning to pace the room slowly. He glanced over to watch Armand head out into the garden and shook his head slightly. Why was Armand so against turning him? Perhaps Armand didn't love him as much as he proclaimed. He turned and shook his head. He needed a drink. Or maybe something stronger. Or both. Yes, both sounded lovely about then. He was itching all over and since Armand didn't seem like he was going to make the itch go away... he had to find something that would at least dull it.
He turned then and headed out the front door, seeking out his favored bar in the area where he knew he could probably also score something a bit stronger than alcohol. He checked his wallet, and he had his card. He'd get money from an ATM before he went inside...
🖕for a my muse to say something negative about yours? ✌ for my muse to say something positive about yours?
Daniel looked over Armand critically for a moment, tilting his head and slowly pulling a cigarette away from his lips to exhale a bit of smoke. “You’re too short. It feels like I’m dating a hobbit sometimes...” He said before a smile comes over his features. “But I like your curls. Makes you look pretty. Delicate, somehow. They beg to be touched. I like that...”

Daniel watched Armand quietly. "A cruel mistress? How so?" He asked, hands moving up over Armand's sides. "You had your Maker... you had the theatre... why did you leave your Maker, Armand?" he asked, frowning. He tried to remember, had Louis mentioned anything about it? He couldn't recall. Such was the fallacy of the human mind. Details could be forgotten quite easily. Though then Armand was responding to his thoughts and his own eyes darkened slightly.
"I wish you wouldn't do that," he said, looking away from Armand then, hands falling back to Armand's hips lightly. "I wish you couldn't read my mind at all. It's really not fair." He made to try and push the immortal from his lap, though knew Armand would only move if he wanted to move. "I would like to stand up now," he said softly. He didn't seem to notice the change in Armand's eyes, only barely registering the change in his voice.
He wondered if this was why Armand wouldn't turn him. Because then their minds would be closed to one another. He wouldn't be able to read his mind anymore. It would put them on equal footing. Would Armand even be interested in him anymore if they were equals? He looked up at Armand then finally as the other male was touching at his neck. He knew then that Armand would still have been reading his thoughts and he winced as his own self-doubts were aired before the immortal.
"I would like to be elsewhere, please."
