I've pretty creatively dead as of late, but I used the little brainpower I can harness and made some boot chains! I got new Insoles for my docs and decided it would be a good time to add some embellishments.

I've got a few peices of clothing that are fraying at the cuff and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix them without it being obvious?
Most of it the layers of the cuff have come apart like this and I'm clueless on how to fix it

USA people! Buy NOTHING Feb 28 2025. Not anything. 24 hours. No spending. Buy the day before or after but nothing. NOTHING. February 28 2025. Not gas. Not milk. Not something on a gaming app. Not a penny spent. (Only option in a crisis is local small mom and pop. Nothing. Else.) Promise me. Commit. 1 day. 1 day to scare the shit out of them that they don't get to follow the bullshit executive orders. They don't get to be cowards. If they do, it costs. It costs.
Then, if you can join me for Phase 2. March 7 2025 thtough March 14 2025? No Amazon. None. 1 week. No orders. Not a single item. Not one ebook. Nothing. 1 week. Just 1.
If you live outside the USA boycott US products on February 28 2025 and stand in solidarity with us and also join us for the week of no Amazon.
Are you with me?
Spread the word.

Patch pants update!
I've added a few plain and band patches recently but I've been swamped with stuff to do sadly :(

I'm definitely making my pants all sorts of fun colors since the idea of working with neon colors sounds really fun.

"You're okay with open borders? Then maybe you should open your house doors and let anyone barge in."
Last time I checked, the entire country is not my personal property. So I don't get to choose who enters the country the same way I get to choose who enters my house.
And if I did get to choose who's welcome in the country, I'd much rather keep the immigrants and deport the Trump supporters.

current project: cyber tech vest with built-in backpack
materials: $5 thrifted backpack disassembled for all the buckles & mesh, upcycled black fabric, and circuit printed fabric for the lining, clear neon yellow vinyl leftover from a project from like 8 years ago, and zippers i stole from an old job and resized for this.
this is phase 1 of this build, i plan to add more buckles on the front & make detachable sleeves with thumb holes that clip on and expose the shoulders.
design inspo: namilia, crisiswear, and lip service's vintage "circuit city" collection. custom made to fit my fiber optic whip in the back and my phone in the mesh pockets. there's secret features, like places to attach glow sticks 💚

The biggest pet peeve of mine are "goths" who excuse their shein amazon aliexpress hot topic hauls with "my thrifts only have granny clothes" as an excuse to why they can't thrift. 100% of the time, it's people who go to thrift shops and expect to find hot topic and killstar and overlook the 80s black clothing that looks shapeless or outdated when unstyled. All you have to do is add a belt, some pins, and maybe a chain, maybe distress it, and it will look 100 times better than the ugly ass shein clothing you are already buying. The visual parts of goth are built on those common 80s basics that you can find literally everywhere styled in unconventional ways. Granny thrift stores are the actual goldmines for dirt cheap goth clothing . You are just uncreative and lazy and refuse to put effort into your looks

Hello, I'm doing some research on goth subculture and was wondering if anyone has any good places to find out about goth history, music, fashion, politics, and how goths interact with there scene. If anyone knows places to find zines that would be helpful. I'd prefer online resources mostly but will take book recommendations too.
I'll probably be making multiple posts about this and asking questions as i work so if you're interested, stay tuned!
