Hello, I'm Charles Xavier, hoping to be Professor Charles Xavier. Currently studying at Shield Academy and loving every minute. I have quite a way with people, some even say I'm a mind reader. 16 years old. Oh, and I'm British. I enjoy long jogs in grey track-suits, and mutations are groovy. AU Avengers RP

The sun shone brightly through the gaps in the cover of leaves above as Charles sat beneath a large oak just on the outskirts of the school grounds. He took a deep breath and felt the fresh, warm air enter him. It was a really gorgeous day. The sun shone distant but bright on the horizon, casting a glow over the grounds.
His knees remain closely tucked to him under his chin, his book resting open in between. It was a lovely feeling, one he had missed while he was away. Yes, this was good.

“I wouldn’t say ‘perfect’, per se, but thank you.” Adam said, replacing his face. “If it’s any consolation, I didn’t even know I was an android for the longest time, I thought I was a normal human who was just lucky.” He smiled. “I’m not particularly gifted like most of the people at this school, but I’m certainly unique.” Adam laughed.
"Really?" Charles asked, "And how did you manage to miss that?" He smiled brightly at the android boy. "Well, I'd say you're plenty gifted, but yes, definitely unique."
Charles’s eyes widened in surprise as he watched the seemingly normal boy remove part of his face. “Oh my,” Charles said, stunned. He took a step forward towards Adam, trying to get a closer look. “That is really astounding. A perfect android. In all honesty, I wouldn’t have even known. Really amazing.”

“That’s what most people say,” Charles responded with a laugh. “Um, well,” he began, pausing to search for words, “you see, I’m a telepath, and so I can read read minds. And… it’s just, it appears that I can’t read yours…”
“Well that is intriguing.” Adam teased, smiling at the telepath. “But there’s a very easy explanation to that, so you needn’t worry.” He explained, grabbing his face in his hand. Adam grasped his face and pulled outward, removing the human part covering his mechanical skeleton. “I don’t have a ‘mind’ to read.”

Seems like you have. I just got here. And what a better way to introduce yourself, than by telling stories of your trip at lunch?
Ah hello, Remy. I'm Charles, Charles Xavier. A pleasure. Welcome. Well, I do like food and talking, so there is definitely no better way than that.

"Well," Charles replied with a smile, "we're all interesting here. Oh yes, your work with subatomic particles shows much promise. Very useful." He clasped his hands together and sat back down in his seat. "Oh not at all," he said, gathering his books up into a pile. "Just some light reading." Charles paused for a moment, thinking of how to begin. "Well, telepathy is a complex thing. It's kind of like having an extra sense rather than an actual power. At any given time, there's thousands of voices in my mind, creating a background noise that doesn't really go away. It's like radio static. But, when I want to, I can focus in on one single person's thoughts, and the others fade away ever so slightly. When I focus, I can learn that person's entire past and everything they may be thinking at the time. Stop me if I'm making you feel uncomfortable, most people find my ability off-putting."
“A telepath? Really? Wow. Everyone here has such interesting powers! I work with subatomic particles… but you probably know everything about me already, don’t you? Tell me more about your telepathy, I’ve always been interested in how it works?” Hank grabbed a chair from a table near by and pulled up it up beside Charles. He then noticed the books spread out around the other student, “If I’m not interrupting any important studying.”

Charles let out a light chuckle; he always loved when people felt a bit confused by the amount of knowledge he had on them. Though, he would never admit that. He ran a hand through his hair and grinned at Hank. "Yes, well, you see, I am a telepath. Which, as I'm sure you know, means I can read your mind. I felt your presence the moment you walked in through the door," he replied cheerfully, "Although, I doubt I really would have needed telepathy to tell you were a scientist. It's rather written all over your face."
Hank shook Charles’ hand. “Likewise.” He listened to him and was shocked that he knew he was a scientist but in a different field. “You-you… How did you know I was even there? And how did you know I’m a scientist? You didn’t even look to see the books I was carrying.”

Charles gently placed his book down and rose from his seat. He extended a hand to Hank and said, "No, we have not. Charles, Charles Xavier. It's a pleasure to meet you. Welcome to the Academy." A wide smile spread across his face as he spoke to the other boy. "Don't worry, you were very silent, being too loud was definitely not the reason why you disturbed me. A fellow scientist, how absolutely wonderful. Well, different field, but still wonderful."
Hank walked into the library with a bunch of books he’d borrowed practically the minute he had settled into the academy and found a couple minutes free time. He heard someone say hello and looked around the library, finding a boy sitting at a table. “Oh. Hey.”
Hank swore that he had been quiet to try and avoid interrupting anyone who may have been studying in there. He left the books on the return rack and made his way to the student. “My name is Hank Pym. I’m new here. I don’t think we’ve met yet. And you are…?”

Charles sat in the library, his face buried in a psychology book that he was only half-reading. If he were to be completely honest, he was still dazed by the Olympic opening from just a few nights ago. The strong feeling of pride still swelled in his chest as he thought of the job well done by the land of his parents. He couldn't help but feel regretful that he hadn't gone, but now was not really the time. He blinked and tried to focus in on the Freudian theories before him. Always a strange one, that Freud. Who but he could have thought of something like the Oedipus complex? Charles shook his head as he read the, if he had any say to it, preposterous ideologies.
A slight buzz came to the back of his mind, an indication of someone entering the room. "Hello," he called, without looking up from his book.
