These dots probably have been connected already but...

Larry definitely made and gifted Rippen the photo album. I mean, look at the handwriting! It's got the same dotted heart and everything! He has a knack for writing in cursive or writing fanciful~

While Rippen's handwriting... need I remind you?

(I'll acknowledge that yes, that discovery did happen in season 2)

Larry also has been shown to love having or taking photos (I wish him taking photos in other dimensions was a running gag. Like how does that work? How is he able to bring the photos back?)

But why would Larry specifically make a photo album of their past failures? Either he made various types of albums for everything and just had to make one with that concept (because there's sooo many photos thay he could use for it), or perhaps Rippen made an offhand comment about such an album existing (maybe knowing about Larry's photo habits) and Larry locked in. I bet Rippen wasn't exactly thrilled to discover that Larry made it a reality and will update it at every chance... but he didn't throw it away. Why? Because he likes to torture himself

So does that mean Larry slipped this photo in there? Because Rippen doesn't know how it got in there, meaning he didn't put it in there as a statement about his teenage self being a past failure. I think Larry just liked that photo and clearly Rippen doesn't sound like he hates it either.
