Day 20, Turkey 🇹🇷 Can’t believe that it has been that long already! 20 days! That’s nearly a hundred! I think now would be a good time to present my favorite Turkish word: “jok” I learned it after talking to the local caretaker, who wasn’t much of an English speaker, because of a problem with the water temperature. There was just two settings, frozen balls or fried eggs. Not so pleasant to keep switching from blazing to freezing in the shower. After playing around with some pipes and valves the caretaker rang the bell and asked: “problem jok?”. And I answered: “problem jok!”. Now go out and enjoy the Turkish equivalent of “gone the fck away”! Oh and I ate some ice cream at the famous bamyaci today. Day 18, Turkey 🇹🇷 Well I didn’t hike up that mountain to the castle. Maybe tomorrow. Why you ask? ( well you do in my head ) Because I had the worst night of sleep in a looong time and just don’t felt like doing anything. The now vacant day was spent on visiting the local cat park honoring cleopatra or something, don’t know how it ties into religion here. Especially since a lot of more orthodox people treat dogs like shit but feed cats. If anybody knows why let me know! Day 16, Turkey 🇹🇷 Today was spent at the beach. End of story. 🏖 Well not entirely, the day was dominated by swimming and the quest for tan lines. Did I get some? Maybe. If you think the tower looks extremely wonky in the picture you’d be surprised how much wonkier it looks in real life. But I’ve seen a very “heavy” lifeguard climb it and survive.
