Reason for my absence...

Hi everyone, my lovely readers. Please know I have not abandoned you! I’ll never leave A Modern Myth. It’s my baby honestly. But yeah— I haven’t updated since December! It’s disgusting I’m sorry.

The reason for my lag in updating is just life. I picked up a job last year while still attending college. So work and school take up my life. So essentially, I just don’t have time anymore. Not like I use to. I miss giving you guys a chapter every week or two. I love writing for A Modern Myth. I love Elia and Draco. I can’t forget about it.

But I’m adulting. And if I could make money off of what I write, I’d drop my job quick! I love you guys so much and your comments make me smile every time. I promise I will return, we are reaching our end soon! I just hope you’ll stick around and love it nonetheless.

With that being said, I plan to update during spring break from March 16-22. Which will be soon! Then again in early April as I’ll be having more time off. But for those that follow on here and love MM— I’ll give you a short summary of what to look forward to in Chapter 59.

Finally springing to her one opportunity into the outside world after the attack of her home— Elia attends Bill and Fleur’s wedding. More Molly sass. T being T. Tonks breaks the news to her best friend about something life changing. Tensions rise in Grimmauld Place when a visitor arrives... and Narcissa and Lucius conspire to bargain with Elia amidst her hunt for the mystery witch called Fi.

Q&A #1

Hello everyone, we compiled some questions we thought would be fun to ask our characters and address ourselves in case you’re curious. If you personally have any questions— send any you have for us! If you enjoyed this, leave some love! This is just for fun. More to come, more characters will be included soon too. I reposted this onto here where the ask box is open!

How long does it take to write a chapter?

KBTP: A few days to two weeks. If I’m really driven and inspired, I was able to finish one chapter in a day but there’s delivery time too. If I’m not preoccupied, I will have a chapter done and published in a week. But with school, it can take two weeks, most of the time the chapter is sitting there half written waiting to be finished by the end of the week.

S: For Another Side, it only takes me a day or two. I have the whole story in my head and just adjust as needed.

Where do you get information or ideas for your story?

KBTP: 98% of A Modern Myth is already formed in my head, plotting for a long time but it takes time to thoroughly plant and grow from there. Creating Elia, I know her now as her own person and I have done the same to other characters so I know how they’d act. If I have trouble, I will base the actions and words of some characters on my real life Slytherins. Sometimes I even get inspired by films. But mostly it’s my dramatic ass and long discussions with S.

S: What would I do if I was in this scene.

What allergies do Elia and Tanya have?

Tanya: I’m pretty allergic to oranges. The smell alone has me congested and if I touch it, I get rashes.

Elia: I don’t really have allergies… though I do have seasonal allergies. I sneeze a lot and my eyes water.

Tanya: *snickers* That’s how we know the season just changed— El starts sneezing and sniffling the moment it happens. She’s the four seasons detector.

Elia: But at least that’s all my allergies. It’d be a sad life if I was allergic to dogs or cats.

Did El and Tanya fight like normal siblings?

Elia: We do fight, not often if hardly ever. It’s never bad. But as sisters-

Tanya: She’ll hit me for one thing.

*Flashback*

Tanya: *sneaking behind El quietly to poke her butt in the kitchen while she’s cooking*

Elia: *minding her business*

Tanya: *passes and pokes the booty* Hehehe-

Elia: *whips around with her wand out, face red. Chases Tanya who screams down the hall as Elia smacks her butt with both her wand and house slipper*

*Flashback ends*

Tanya: Beware of the chancla and the switch.

What's the girls’ favorite movies?

Tanya: Gotta say I love Beauty and the Beast. Tell. No. One.

Elia: I love too many movies. There was Tank Girl but the comics are better. Oh we love Labyrinth! Ooh! My favorite book actually was made into a film a few years ago but I was too young for such… things.

Tanya: El… we all know the film you love love… spill it already.

Elia: *sighs* …It’s the Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh.

Do the girls celebrate Holidays (ones we haven't seen them do?)

Tanya: I enjoy All Hallows Eve. I would also hide eggs for my sister during Easter when she was very young.

Elia: I agree, we adore Halloween. I’m sure we’re going to dress up every year, even when we’re old.

Favorite muggle subject?

Tanya: Science!

Elia: Lunch.

Favorite color outside of house/team colors?

Tanya: I actually really like dark reds. And gotta admit *nudges El* I like the color yellow. I like the color oddly after this one was born. A sign I'd say.

Elia: Aside from my usual yellow, oddly enough my real favorite color is green. Not because of Tanya or Draco, but green is the color of plants! Oh and brown— ‘cause DIRT.

Tanya, would you slap El for a million dollars?

Tanya and Elia: We’d both roundhouse kick each other for double.

Tanya: *smiles and leans on El* "Not even with full strength could my baby sister hurt me."

Elia: *pushes her off, frowning* Fine, if you put it that way— I'd kick you for a slice of pizza and a cold drink instead!

Tanya: You couldn’t even hit a fly, let alone me.

*Abraham walks in*

Abraham: *hears conversation* Come on Pumpkin, lay one on me.

*Elia stands, fists raised and determined. She throws a pathetic punch and Abraham doesn’t even blink*

Abraham: *good dad mode* Aw come on, try again sweetheart.

*Elia punches his chest again and Abraham flings himself backwards. He catapults his body across the room, hits the wall dramatically.*

Abraham: *fake groaning* Damn, that’s a punch.

Elena: *watching from afar, raises a brow* Now you see where Elia gets her dramatic side from.

Elia: *sobbing and running to her father* OH MY GOD PAPA I’M SO SORRY-

*Elia is crying hysterically and holding Abraham. Tanya turns back around.*

Tanya: Well gotta cut the interview short since El just killed Dad. Until next time.

(Not So) Short Introduction From Yours Truly

Hi everyone,

I hope anyone that finds this, is either coming from the fanfiction itself, or you just stumbled upon this and are a new reader- whatever the case may be, I welcome you! I have been contemplating making this page for my fanfiction work with T for quite some time, and due to time constraints (work, school, etc), I haven’t been able to, along with updating actual chapters. I finally have gotten around to making this page. As basic as it looks right now, I am hoping to learn the tumblr tools to vamp this page up to be as magical as the world of Harry Potter. It’ll take time for it to grow as we settle, but trust me- we have time because we’re not going anywhere ;)

There are LOTS of plans for A Modern Myth and our OC’s, we have a mountain of ideas that I hope you guys are going to stick around for all of it, because it’ll definitely be fun. 

On this page itself, I will be posting update notices, visuals, sidenotes, answering questions, and happily accept artwork if you have any! Or anything at all the share that shows your love! We accept all forms with open arms. The page will have posts all about A Modern Myth. So if you have any interest of being invested in something more than just words on my fanfiction.net or wattpad... this tumblr is the place to be. 

This blog will open up so much more as we dive deeper in what is A Modern Myth.
