Finally getting into the swing of writing again! After so much time lost to work, more stressful work and longer hours (thank you Covid), and a long running battle with my health, I can say my muse is inspiring me again. I'm working on a few short stories of Julian and Sabrina to get me back at the trilogy I have planned. Hope to have the first one up soon, ("Sand").
I was scrolling back over some of my old posts, and struck again by how awesome and cool the people are here. You always gave me the confidence to post my Arcana fics! I love you all!

Trying to get back into writing my Arcana fanfic, after a hell of a year of deaths in the family, Covid stress, etc. For anyone who read my Runecaller story and would like to read more, a question. Would you be interested in another full story released chapter by chapter, as I did the first one, or would you rather a collection of short stories about various adventures Sabrina and Julian get into, with no real link between them?

I think it's more a guilty conscious. We know Julian feels guilty, MC says at some point they may have committed a crime and be as bad as Julian but they can't remember. Portia has all her memories and knows she hasn't done anything wrong.

Julian Book X Wheel of Fortune - Rock Bottom
Portia Book IX The Hermit - An Open Book
In Julian’s route he is the only one who can turn the key. But in Portia’s route both Portia and MC are able to turn the key without any problem. Which could mean 3 things :
1. Portia and MC have both sinned (And it might get addressed later in the story.)
2. The inscription is a hoax (But then why can’t MC turn it in Julian’s book? For plot convenience? To have the dramatic reveal later?)
3. Or it’s a plot hole (It would be easier to have the key work without question in Portia’s route to move the plot along and this part in Julian’s route had been merely forgotten. But I want to give the devs more credit than that.)
What do you think?

Read this and save a life - YOUR OWN
From a surgical nurse and certified CPR teacher:
Please pause for 2 minutes and read this:
1. Let’s say it’s 7.25pm and you’re going home (alone of course) after an unusually hard day on the job.
2. You’re really tired, upset and frustrated.
3 Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to drag out into your arm and up in to your jaw. You are only about five km from the hospital nearest your home.
4. Unfortunately you don’t know if you’ll be able to make it that far.
5. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy who taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.
6. HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE? Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.
7. However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.
8. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.
9. Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives!!
10. A cardiologist says If everyone who gets this mail kindly sends it to 10 people, you can bet that we’ll save at least one life.
11. Rather than sending jokes, please... contribute by forwarding this mail which can save a person’s life.
12. If this message comes around you... more than once… please don’t get irritated... You should instead, be happy that you have many friends who care about you & keeps reminding you how to deal with a Heart attack.
please take the time and boost this post by reposting it and sending it to those you love because we all need to understand how to quickly deal with heart attacks

Anon Hate IS Illegal.
Guys, I’m not kidding.
Suicide-baiting, cyberharassmemt, cyberstalking, death/rape threats, and hate speech are illegal in all 50 states as well as Australia and the UK.
Some places include school suspension or expels. Some even include jail time for multiple years.
And yes, they can find someone by username or IP alone.
Also, yes. There are methods of catching someone’s IP. Even under a VPN.
So.
Next time you get hit with anon hate?
Casually remind them you can very easily take this to the next level. And they can earn jail time while you lay back in your chair, having saved yourself and everyone else from a violent criminal.
Your online actions have real life consequences.
Make sure they learn that.
(Just in case there’s a “the police wouldn’t do that” - Yes. They absolutely would.
Or a “I can handle it.” No. That person will continue to harass others as well. And one of them may not be as strong as you. So do it for them and everyone else.
Or a “It’s not that severe.” Yes. It is. People have died because of this. It really is that severe.)
Take action. And make sure the lives of these bullies are truly wrecked.

We're losing the fight
People please please please spread this. Hong Kong is under attack. We used to be an amazing city, we still are. We served as the link between East and West, and had a relatively good relationship with Mainland China. We were technically a part of them, but we kept our own laws and government under the Basic Law (HK law agreed on by both China and England). We had freedom; freedom of speech, religion, protest, all that. We stood up for what's right.
Throughout Hong Kong's history, we've always had a great relationship with the police force. Just look at the Umbrella Revolution of 2014, it was pretty dang peaceful considering the number of people out on the streets. Sure there were isolated incidents, but overall? There was a mural agreement between protestor and police. We do what we have to do, we fight for what we believe is right, we try to minimalize casualties. That's not the case anymore
The city has turned into a battlefield. The police have become demons. They're ruthlessly beating innocent civilians and passerbys. They sprayed pepper spray into a crowded train compartment. They pepper sprayed a pregnant woman directly in the face several times before proceeding to pull her to the ground and beat her. They shot people in the chest, leg, and eye point black. A lot of us don't even think they are the police of Hong Kong anymore. We believe they are soldiers from the Mainland. They are tearing the city apart
I also feel the need to clear up some things. We are NOT fighting for independence. This started out as a protest against the extradition treaty that would strip Hong Kong of our right to free speech. It has evolved into a protest against police brutality and government negligence, and those two things have only gotten worse and worse. Again, this is not a fight for independence. We just want our city back, we just want One Country Two Systems (the agreement made between China and England. Hong Kong will be a part of China, but have a separate government and a separate justice and social system) back
PLEASE BOOST THIS. Not enough people know about the violence against the citizens. Outside media has painted the protesters as the villains when that is not the case. I'll come back to add photos and videos to this post, but as for right now, please just BOOST THE HECK OUT OF THIS

Advice if giving blood
Trigger warning: needles
I work in a hospital medical lab, and part of my job is taking blood for a variety of tests. A LOT of people have extreme anxiety about needles and getting blood taken. I deal with it everyday, and I get it. It's not fun.
So I decided to go ahead and post some tips here that can make your session a little easier if you have anxiety giving blood.
(Keep on mind I'm in Canada, and some things are different across countries, but in general it's all the same- but always follow what your doctor or phlebotomist tells you)
1. When your doctor gives you the paper with the tests on it, ask if you have to fast, and if he says yes, ask if you can drink water. You almost always can, and the number one reason your vein can be hard to find is that you're dehydrated. This makes your veins "flat". Note: water means just that. Water. Not tea. Not coffee. Not a bagel. Unflavoured water.
2. If you have small veins, or they have had a hard time finding your veins before, put a warm cloth over the area, or have warm water run over the area before you go in. Heat can raise the veins under your skin a little.
3. Follow what the phlebotomist tells you- make a fist and hold it, or pump it. Keep it clenched until they tell you to let it go. This makes the vein stand up.
4. Don't move around a lot in the chair. Even turning your wrist can make the vein in your arm turn or twist and that can decrease the flow.
5. As hard as it is, relax. The phlebotomist doesn't want to hurt you, honest! We love nice, quick, painless draws, and take pride in it. You don't have to look at the draw. Just turn your head.
6. Sometimes it will hurt. There are nerves running everywhere in the arm, and sometimes a needle can graze one. Yes, it hurts, but it's honestly not preventable as there is no way to know where they are. The pain will leave.
7. When the needle comes out, put pressure on the area. That doesn't mean for 3 seconds then start peeking to see if it's bleeding. If you cut your finger at home, you put pressure on it. This is the same thing. If you bruised after a draw, 9/10 times there wasn't enough pressure after. You're bleeding under your skin, it's not "trauma" like if you fell down stairs.
8. If you are likely to faint, let the phlebotomist know beforehand. They won't think you're a baby, a LOT of people can pass out if their blood pressure drops the slighest. They'll lay you down which will 99% guarentee you won't pass out.
9. Likewise, if you suddenly get dizzy in the chair or feel like you want to throw up, just tell the phlebotomist. It's common, no one will think any less of you. People's bodies' react differently to any blood loss, and we know you have no control over it.
10. Don't be afraid to ask questions, ask how you can make it easier next time, and if you had a good draw, please let the phlebotomist know. Anxiety can make the job harder for us AND you!
