REASONS FOR WHY GHOSTLIGHT/LAMPSHADE/HAUNTEDLIGHT DESERVES TO BE MORE POPULAR

1. Ghostlights are a real thing! In theaters it’s common practice to have a specific light that’s left on in theaters, modern day typically so that if anyone is at the theater late at night they don’t trip over things, but originally it was done as a way to please any ghosts in theaters so they don’t cause chaos during shows.

2. Connie and Brightney’s two dialog scenarios are Brightney praising Connie and lesbian pining

3. Connie’s dialog with Vee shows that she respects Brightney enough to stop messing with Vee at the threat of Vee telling Brightney.

Getting less into evidence and more into personal opinion now, I don’t vibe with any of the other main ships with Connie. Saying now though, it’s not an issue if you do ship these at all. I’m only presenting dialog between other popular ships to use as a comparison.

While Connie and Gigi have amicable dialogue, it’s feels more like common friendship talk. Checking in on each other.

Meanwhile Connie straight up calls Looey’s troupe a waste of time.

Brightney’s ships have slightly more evidence of potential feelings. Brightney and Scraps have dialog that shows they hang out a lot, and her dialog with Goob starts with her asking how Scraps is doing

Brightney also is a prerequisite for Vee which makes that ship make as much sense as FossilCleaning (which is quite popular), as well as Vee calling Brightney her best contestant.

Again, this doesn’t mean any of these ships are invalid, but why are ships with much less canon implications so popular compared to a ship that’s pretty straight forward that at least one person in the relationship is pining extremely hard?

Even if as a one sided thing, I think it’s a missed opportunity that Brightney and Connie is not a more popular ship in the fandom. But consider this a call for any Ghostlight shippers to make more art and fanfiction cause they deserve more
