A chat 💕 #roodboiphoto ............. ........ ...... .... ... It's not uncommon for housewives in South Africa to spend the day selling produce on the streets. These women are out everyday; selling to any and everyone that will stop. I was able to capture one of the other women selling having a conversation with her neighboring vendor. It was obvious that the two sold on this corner everyday; even watching each other's stands for bathroom breaks. (at Pretoria, South Africa)

Some of the students were calling him "the Mad Man," which sounded like "Mud Man." I didn't see anything "mad" about him. He was walking around to car windows asking for money with a smile on his face. He reminded me to smile ✨ #roodboiphoto (at Pretoria, South Africa)

Security 🚨 #roodboiphoto ............. ....... .... Many of the hotels in Pretoria had security gates, electric fences, and 24 hour security guards. Later it was explained to us that many of Pretoria's inhabitants use a drug I can't translate into English. The drug is comprised of fluorescent light ingredients, glass, HIV medicine, powder from the back of televisions, and other ingredients I can't remember. The drug is extremely expensive so a popular solution became what is known as "Bluetooth." Bluetooth is when one user gets high then a needle is filled with that user's blood and injected into the other user; allowing the second user to share the high through blood transfusion. This drug is only rampant in South Africa's Black communities and the government seems to be doing nothing to combat it. Why? (at Pretoria, South Africa)

The culture in Soweto was visible with every street we passed. I swear I could've stayed there forever. There was so much to see and feel.
