Electric Cello 4 Sale

Hello mutuals,

I am going through some tough times and have decided to downsize some of my instrument collection to help fund a storage space while I move some energy around. I have decided to try to sell my electric (amplified) cello

Built into the cello is a pickup attached to an eq that allows you to plug the cello into any effects and/or guitar/bass amp or pa for all sorts of fun. A favorite setup for a number of years was cello into wah/volume, octave pedal, fuzz + reverb into bass amp. You can also plug into headphones for those 3am quiet jams to not disturb the neighbors.

I only recorded a little with that setup, here I have included a link to my soundcloud where I am multitrack recording cello with a looper pedal,synth, and harmonica. Take a listen, hopefully a good mix of music, noise, and ambient tones.

After I bought the cello I installed what is known as "geared pegs." A cello uses a different tuning system involving chalk and pegs to tune. Cello strings can cost a lot and with this classic cello system breaking strings can get expensive quickly.

I found a company in New Zealand that makes geared pegs which are closer to a guitar's tuning and had the geared pegs installed, so there is no string sliping which leads to broken strings.

I'm willing to part ways with my electric cello with geared pegs for somewhere between $300 and $400 dollars. I would offer 2 or 3 lessons over video conference to get you going.

I had a few friends who would do a setup of 2 cellos through Marshall amplifiers and play resonate drone noise. Never charged anything (bless their noisey crispity crunchy punk diy souls). Would see them several times in one year, all for free, always a good time hanging out with my noise friends yay.

If there is any interest, take a listen to my recording, forward to interested musicians, I'd like it to go to a good home. One of the best compliments I ever got as a musician, listening to a track more than once. Yeah maybe one day.

Currently going through a lot. Many social triggers, disabilities, anxiety, depression. Can't really work or function. Several medications for depression, panic attacks, anxiety, and still having breakthrough symptoms. I'll medicate...post some...then look back hours later, be super embarrassed, delete a bunch of stuff. Overexertion is one of my triggers. Everything is overexertion, medicate, post, embarrassment, cycle begins a new each day. People check in but I hear back I've got too much going on to deal with. Then shame, isolation, embarassment. A cycle with no end in sight.

Sorry mutuals, still going through it.
