Hello! To start this post off, I'm a beginner photographer who's been taking pictures off and on for around a year now. I've wanted to do photography for about 7 years, so last year I bought my first camera, a used Nikon D3500, and went crazy.

Today, I finally got around to downloading Adobe Lightroom and began using the free features to mess around with editing pictures! I watched a lot of tutorials on Tiktok to learn how to do it on my phone, and here's the results after getting the hang of it.

The goal was supposed to be a warm, welcoming, film-like vibe to it. I'm not sure if I achieved that, but either way I'm proud of myself for doing simple editing!

I would appreciate it if those with more experience could give me some advice on how to make these better!! Any tips or (kind) constructive criticism is helpful.

I went back to downtown Prattville and I stopped to visit the bamboo forest. It's so gorgeous all year round

The photo was taken on my phone, but I'll be posting the pictures I got on my Nikon D3500 sometime soon. ;3

Looking for general advice on photography with a DSLR camera!! I use a Nikon D3500, and I feel like I just can't get my photos good enough.

Not to mention I don't have the slightest clue on how to edit my photos without the quality tanking.

Any tips or advice welcome!
