Berwald snorted, feeling he had every right to be grumpy. "M'room," he declared matter-of-factly, lifting his head up high and trotting along with more self assurance than he really felt in this moment. After about a minute or so of padding through the rooms he came to a stop and sat down, ears back and none too happy. Things were a whole lot different from this perspective. "M'lost," he grumbled, looking up to Mathias expectantly.

Berwald watched the little monkey intently, having taken the opportunity to sit for a moment while the two of them mulled one thing or another over. It was the other small creature that spoke first, asking for an opinion, and the man turned puppy made a face as close to knit brows as he could. Expressive as a dog's face might be, it just lacked all the right forms of a human's, but he figured the point of mildly irritated consideration was made. Irritated over the situation more than anything else, his new found company proving to be, well, it was too early to make much of a judgement. At least not a fair one, but default his judgements were pretty harsh and optimistic.
He considered the question, head cocked slightly. "Doubt we'd find an answer," Berwald concluded with a vaguely frowning hint. There was no telling how it happened, the possibilities far too many. "Coulda been trolls, they're troublesome." And he was biased. He took the name, watching with no amusement when the monkey - Cosmin - spun around. Part of him wondered just how tolerable this fellow would be.
"Berwald, an' m'usually.. taller." A lot taller. He rose back to his feet and gave himself a shake. He didn't bother to comment on the cute thing, though if he had to admit it he supposed it was sort of true. "Think all I wanna do s'head inside," that was a partial lie for he had a very strong urge to bound around, chase things, and chew on things, "S'not fair I didn't get turned t'somethin' with thumbs."
Sit, stay, good boy (M!A) || indraznet
Cosmin peered at the dog curiously. Ahh—so he was in a similar predicament! What a shame, meeting all these people while they were under some sort of magical spell. He only hoped that once everything was back to normal—because he was sure everyone would change back—that they did not simply ignore one another.
The Romanian macaque scratched his hairy little chin. He obviously would have an easier time moving about and completing tasks, since he was still a bipedal creature with fair enough motor skills. And he was completely open with helping this poor guy, as long as he didn’t turn out to be a total douche bag. Maybe a friendship could be made in the process! Minu liked the sound of that idea.
"What would you like to do?" he asked, the higher pitch and stranger tone of his voice still feeling odd. "I can help you, since I still have…" He held up his hands and waved them around clumsily while wiggling the fingers. "Do you want to try to find out how this happened?" Cosmin paused and scratched his chin again, then decided to add," My name is Cosmin and usually I am human." He did a clumsy turn on the spot while snickering that weird little monkey laugh. "Still cute though!"

Berwald puffed a breath, "Don't patronize me." Just because he was suddenly tiny didn't mean his tolerance for shit was extended. He hurried through the door, then stopped a moment to consider something, turning around to look at the Dane. Might as well get a little bit of use from him. "Could ya grab m'clothes?"
He sighed before putting the tiny puppy down, looking at him “now….are you hungry? or thirsty?” he asked, since the canine wouldn’t be able to open any of the cupboards or the fridge if he actually was “and c’mon don’t be so mean….I just think you are very cute…” he admitted “I mean look at your little figure”

It didn't take long to bound over to the kitten, especially considering it had ceased running and instead was all curled up. He came to a stop right beside it, barking one more time just for good measure, but it wasn't really appealing to his puppy senses if the thing wasn't going to run. Instead it appealed more to his 'this thing is a small defenseless animal and animals have done nothing wrong to me' senses.
Berwald hovered over the kitten, then pawed at it gently. He dropped down onto his stomach, noses at it, then decided licking it was a good idea. It wasn't, it was about as far from a good idea as it got, to be honest.

Berwald was following his nose, as he found himself doing quite a lot in the past few hours. He'd like to say he had enough self control to resist such petty, idiotic urges, but regrettably that wasn't the case. His small canine body was prone to every instinct it had, such as hunting down the unmistakable scent of cat.
He padded along until he spotted it. A small kitten. Even with how small he was himself the other animal was smaller still. It didn't lessen his urges, however, and before he could stop himself he began barking. Disregarding all sensible thought he charged forwards, not intended to hurt the kitten at all, or at least not very much.
Nine Lives || M!A Open
Being a cat, and not just a cat, but a kitten, was quite an interesting experience.  Roderich had woken up from his nap to find Mathias asleep and, not wanting to bother the other, he had jumped to the floor and wandered off.  It was interesting to observe the castle from this height, though a bit intimidating.  Everything seemed much taller and bigger than normal, and his ears twitched at every small sound.
He turned the corner of the hall, pausing to scratch at this ear with his back paws.  Footsteps caught his attention, and he backed away slightly, unsure who it was that was approaching.

Berwald watched as the child rose and stumbled towards him, falling all over himself in the process. He took a step forward, but before he could get too far the boy had gotten back up and finished his trek over. There was the matter of what, exactly, Berwald planned to do now that he had the boys attention. Find an adult who could help a little more, possibly.
Next thing he knew he was being grabbed and clung to, yapping a little out of surprise. He resisted the urge to squirm, allowing himself to be cuddled and hugged on as it appeared to be calming the child. That was a step in the right direction.
"Sorta," he answered, and the wondered if that was even a good idea. Talking animals could be seen as something a little weird, but children were open to many things, perhaps it wouldn't be so strange. "Do ya live here?" Berwald asked after some thinking, though considering the thick accent and noticeable awkwardness of the boy's speech he wasn't certain if he understood the language.
Tiny Child, Big Castle {open} {M!A: Child}
The child had always been fond of animals, often going out of his way to drag home stray ones, much to the distaste of his parents. As such, hearing the dog bark was welcoming. At first, he thought it might have been Ebro or Tagus, his foster father’s dogs, but it was instead an unknown puppy. Neverthe less, the child stood up and ran over to the animal, nearly tripping over his long shirt and sleeves in the process.
He fell onto his face with another pitiful noise and sniffled as he pulled himself up, hurrying towards the puppy once more. He was still blurred by tears and yet he sat in front of the dog, and pulled him close to him, cuddling the small animal close. They were close to the same size, which was comforting to the child. He sniffled, rubbing his eyes.
"Puppy…Cucciolo…" He said, softly, rubbing at his eyes, "Are you lost, too?"

That was better. Berwald turned so he could look back up at the man, thinking about it a moment. He was a little of both, but he was also stubborn and somewhat prideful - he didn't want any help from the Dane. Especially not when he had the gall to call him cute. Berwald's ears pulled back and he trotted to the door, scratching at it once. "Just lemme inside, an don't call me cute again. 'S stupid."

This was embarrassing. Even worse the scratches were not unpleasant. Berwald growled, not that it was a very threatening noise. "M'not gonna, just wanna go inside," he grumbled, continuing his persistent squirming. He had four legs and he could use them just fine, there was no need for him to be carried around. "Don't make me bite ya," the puppy threatened, clicking his teeth in frustration.
"aw…even your voice is less deep" he chuckled as he scratched the little puppy behind it’s ears "I wont let you down though…you might run away and actually end up hurting yourself" he told him "and we wouldn’t want that to occur now do we." he said and sighed "I’ll carry you around places in that case…or I’ll make sure you wont trip or get driven over by a car"

What a strange sound that was, Berwald noted as he ventured through the castle. A loud wailing that could have been words, maybe, but mostly sounded like incoherent noises.
On any other day he might not have been so compelled to investigate. Today, however, his curiosity was insatiable, and he had hardly a real choice in the matter. His lanky puppy legs were already carrying him in the direction, nose pressed to the ground. It smelled human, human and salty, and as he trotted onto the scene he could see why. The small person was crying up a storm.
Berwald stood and stared for a moment, not at all sure what to do. How could anyone expect him to deal with a sobbing child on a regular basis, much less as a small dog? On the other hand it was a small, crying child. Even when he'd been mostly a child himself he'd had a weakness for them, he couldn't just leave. The current puppy stepped over to the boy - or was it a girl? - and proceeded to bark once for it's attention.
Tiny Child, Big Castle {open} {M!A: Child}
Poor Feliciano appeared no older then 6. And even for six he was a rather tiny boy. In fact, he barely looked like a boy at all, instead resemblig very much a young girl instead. His clothes had not shrunk with him, so the poor child was stumbling around in a too big shirt, and utterly confused as to where he was.
It didn’t look lie Mr. Hernández’s home. It was much too large and…imposing. No, his foster father’s home had been much more welcoming and cozy. This castle was large, frightening to the young boy. He had been crying earlier, wailing for his brother or his ‘father’ to come for him, but nothing had happened and he was once more wandering to find someone to ask where he was.
His eyes were wide, shimmering with tears, ready to fall at any moment. As a child, poor Feliciano had been even more sensitive and easily upset, and finally gave up with a rather pitiful wail and sat down, bursting into fresh tears and a jumbled array of Italian, having not really learned much English yet.
