the insane experience of missing a fictional character . like you can always go back and reread the book , replay the game , rewatch the show or movie , you can always go back & see them , but you can never experience them & their story for the first time again . its absurd to miss them because they'll always be there , but you'll miss when there were still new things for them to say .

for a small time they were real & growing and changing and you hung onto every new word, but now all they can do is repeat the same story forever&ever & they're not real anymore because you know everything they're going to do. & you miss them. its fucked man...

Thinking about how Peter and Hugo feel like two sides of the same coin Both serve to help inform the player of things relating to the case (especially in case 0 and in case 4). Peter gives information on what's happening in the criminal world. Hugo gives information on what's happening in the legal/investigative world. Peter, who's outwardly warm and charming, loves coffee drinks but specifies he doesn't want anything too sweet. One of his favorites is the Cold Winter. Hugo is outwardly cold and reserved, and loves the sweet coffee drinks. He has dialogue that mentions how good the hot cocoa is back home in Belgia. Both ask the bartender whether they should try to leave the life they've built up for themselves. Peter wants to know if he should try to leave the more underworld-criminal world behind. Hugo wants to know if he should leave the corruption of Bukovie behind. Peter seems to get his hackles up talking about his work, he wants to be seen as a person outside of what he does. It takes a lot of prodding from Bartender to get him to actually talk about what's going on in his professional life. Hugo is suspicious of any personal questions and only wants to be seen through the lens of his work. It takes a lot of prodding from Bartender to get him to talk about what's going on in his personal life. I just cannot stop thinking about how much they contrast each other and yet!! they dislike each other SO MUCH I need Bartender to convince them to do drunk karaoke together istg

Does Peter usually cook for himself or eat out? What about Sandra? After they moved in together, does one of them cook or do they both eat out? Also, what foods do they like? (Sorry I’m asking so many questions!)

Don't ever apologize omg I love this question so much. I think the topic came up during BexValentine's stream this weekend also... coincidence!

I love the idea that neither of them can cook to save their lives for no other reason than that it's incredibly funny... Although realistically Sandra would probably make for a decent cook, if not just because she would have probably cooked for herself and her mother after her mother became sick.

Peter is probably the "eating loose sandwich ingredients while standing in front of the fridge" / "eating cold beans out of the can" one... if he's not getting takeout that is. I mean, I'm sure he can make scrambled eggs or fry a pork chop, but he's never had a parental figure to teach him to cook proper meals and he works late... So I don't see him as much of a chef, personally.

(I do like to think that he has that one dish that he learned from a friend and can make very well, and in my head it's 100% Beef Stroganoff. What can I say, the boy likes cream.)

I imagine Sandra isn't much of a foodie and forgets to eat when she's distracted or busy. Lots of 'girl dinners' consisting of fruits, canned fish and olives. When she does eat I imagine she has a pretty refined taste though... things like grilled salmon and risotto.

Once they move in together Sandra probably would take it upon herself to cook sometimes and ensure Peter eats A Vegetable from time to time... but I also think it's cute to imagine Peter trying his hardest to make Sandra something edible because she just doesn't really eat if he doesn't.
