Well the 10th annual spooky movies In The woods came just before the rain, one last sunny day was glorious In The Squamish valley. Merry Christmas 2021. Though the Pandemic still rages uncertainty and caution. Last minute Holliday changes didn’t keep Christmas from coming. Grateful for my families health, and for my beautiful partner lianne in my life for helping keep Christmas vibes happen despite cancelations and setbacks. We are healthy, strong and fortunate this year. We are spending holidays keeping a friendly penny cat 🐈 company happy cozy and her cabin. Very happy to spend the holidays with my love @lianneoelke and sweet @sweet.alleycat We may not be able to travel or have the grand family feast we are used to, but considering the troubles this year has brought I’m grateful for what I do have. And look forward to years to come in hopes to be even more grateful for what we will hopefully be able to safely do again. My thoughts are with all those who aren’t with family, and those who have experienced loss in this tough year. I remember the days when this was a quiet secluded spot to boondock in peace after a busy work week. Way more popular these days, the roads are lined with parked cars, fireworks crack while flashing lights and music pump through party speakers late into the night. It’s not the not so far getaway from the bustling city it once was. Time passes and with it comes change. Lianne and I have had many cozy nights in our camper van we named “watney”. And this very well may be our last. He goes on the market tonight to find his next caretakers and adventure seekers. We can’t give him the care he needs and we seek different adventures on the horizon. With change, comes change. And like many things to fear in life, facing it almost always leads to an adventure.
