Hello! I am a final year university student studying accountancy and finance. I am due to graduate in June 2017 with first class honours. I will then begin my ICAS training to become a Chartered Accountant in August 2017. Follow my progress on the road to becoming a CA, whilst also finding useful study, time management and productivity tips I have picked up along the way. Hop on and enjoy the ride, it's going to be bumpy!

The one where I join the studyblr community...
Hello there! Welcome to my new studyblr and blog. I figured that the best way to get going would be to introduce myself to the studyblr community, so here goes nothing!
I am a 24 year old woman living in Scotland, and I go by the name Em.
I am at the tail end of my four-year accountancy and finance honours degree (at the time of writing, I only have one more exam to go before that little bugger of a degree is mine!). I am predicted to graduate with first class honours, so let’s just keep our fingers crossed that my final exam doesn’t go horrendously wrong!
I didn’t start university until I was 20 years old due to chronic health issues throughout my teenage years and early adulthood - as such, I left school with no qualifications. I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved since then, and I hope that I can show other people that it doesn’t matter what walls have been built up in front of you, it only takes hard work to knock those buggers right back down!
After graduation, I will be beginning a three-year professional qualification known as ICAS. This involves working full-time and studying part-time in order to attain CA (Chartered Accountant) status. I was lucky enough to have been offered my training contract with my dream firm, so I can’t wait to start!
This blog will include things from study advice, my own printables (I’ve shared them with my friends for years, why not the world?), organisation advice, university advice, intern/graduate advice and of course, progress updates on the path to becoming a CA.
My life isn’t wholly consumed by academia and my career though. I’m a huge travel, tennis and yoga lover, so don’t be surprised if the occasional photo of my trips away pop up here and there. I also love a good crime drama and documentary, so if you have any recommendations to satisfy my inner procrastinator, then please do let me know!
Finally, thanks to emmastudies.com, theorganisedstudent.tumblr.com and caffeineandcoding.tumblr.com for inspiring me to crawl out of the snooper woodwork and create my own studyblr :).  Em x
