Um, excuse me, I don’t see why these beautiful creatures need to conform to your or anyones level of normality. Shame on you for not excepting them for the unique individuals that they are!

Honestly, icthyosaur fins are incredibly unsettling. What do I mean by that? Well, let’s look at the fin of a dolphin and compare. 

It has a hand in there. Good. Homologous structures and all that. This is a good creature.

Now what the hell is this ungodly thing?

The entire fin, it’s just full of bones. A solid bone paddle. What is going on here?

Well, some Icthyosaurs actually exhibit a phenomenon known as polydactyly. What this means is that they had extra fingers. While not entirely uncommon for a single individual of a species to have extra digits, it’s extremely uncommon among tetrapods to gain extras across an entire species. We see it among some early tetrapods, but we also see it here, with Icthyosaurs. In some species, the number of fingers on one limb reaches ten. 

Icthyosaurs also exhibit something known as hyperphalangy. While less unique (it’s also present in whales, mosasaurs and plesiosaurs according to Wikipedia), hyperphalangy means that the limbs have extra phalanx bones. What this means in Icthyosaurs is an almost corncob-like grid of bones. 

In fact, when I was researching this, google thought that a picture of icthyosaur fins was in fact of corn domestication.

In conclusion, Icthyosaurs have clearly commited some sin in finger theivery, and their extinction was deserved.

Moar please!

I had an idea why Mayor Dewey might have a crush on Pearl and really wanted to draw it. I tried to stick closer to to the show’s style, but I sort of transitioned to “Dewey Vision” for the one panel of Pearl. Hopefully this is as good of an idea as I thought it was at 3 in the morning.

This is probably my fastest turnaround for a colored comic page, but man, I hate text bubbles. PS doesn’t really have any easy way to do that, I normally do it with the oval tool, which takes forever along with text layers. I tried hand-drawn this time, and while its legible, it still looks bad. :/

  Did I say tomorrow, I meant every other day. Yeah, odds are I’ll be spacing these uploads out so I don’t waste my whole barrel all in a short amount of time. But anyways, as promised...my French. Uuuugh this is my most recent of recordings (6/24/18) and even now I can’t stand it. For this one I tried implementing the nasally/gruff tone of The Spy from Team Fortress 2 (voiced by  Dennis Bateman), but even that method only got me so far.

  My problem with the French accent is that no matter what I always manage to start dipping into another accent. Most of the times it’s Russian or German but for some reason, probably dud to me trying to ascertain a higher pitch while at the same time adding a slight slur, veered right into Spanish of all things, which you can most prominently hear at the last line read. European accents can be a challenge for me (excluding English and Irish), because for a time I would go French when doing Russian. 

   But I don’t let it get me down, and neither should anyone else who’s struggling with accents. There are tons of videos and articles to help people just about any accent you can think of. It’s just a matter of practicing and hearing it enough times before you got it.  

That got a little too p.s.a....ey, there. So remember kids, everything’s legal if you don’t get caught!

Next time we’ll be taking a dive into familiar territory with something I know I’m decent at.

Here’s a good example of my upper class-cent (see what I did there?) as I try out for a narrator role in a comic dub of I Hate Fairyland. Once again we’re back to our blanket covered days, however I do believe this is one of the auditions I tried out for with my first pop filter. This one is a little more strenuous on me as every word slightly scrapes the back of my throat. But nothing a water bottle on stand by can’t handle. 

For this accent I find myself oddly channeling Earl Boen’s(who also voiced Senior Senior in Kim Possible, and the Beyonder in the Spiderman series) William H. Taft from Time Squad, minus the the horse noises. Quite an odd and obscure choice, but every time I think stuffy 1920 man, this just comes to mind. 

That’s it for today, but tomorrow we’ll take a listen to one of the accents I most definitely need work on.

It’s always expected, but the number of asshats dissing a fictional character for having unshaved armpits and think they’re clever by saying “go shave” or “eww” or “poor hygiene” is “amusing” (and between the shaving injonctions and the thirsty or “thot” comments, props to the actual “real” people getting those everyday about themselves, how they look, how they should look or behave, etc. It’s interesting. Almost like a sociological experiment. With boobs. )

We’ve arrived this evening at one of the first auditions I’ve ever done. My “Grandpa” voice hasn’t evolved much since I've started my adventures. Though now, I just tend to lean towards my GBV rather than this stereotypical winded voice that has been done to death by everyone and their actual grandpas.

A mermaid was secretly working at a knock-off SeaWorld. She works with the animals that wouldn’t survive in the wild. Now the mermaid can switch back and forth from human to mermaid, but not quickly that’s how she got caught by the new employee.

There’s this person “MadSkillz” She’s STEALING and EDIT arts from PIXIV JAPANESE ARTISTS and earning MONEY from making PS background on PATREON!

She keeps continue and even made her pledges HIGHER on it! We have prooves that the artists don’t agree and she just ignore it! DO YOU ALL EVEN AGREE WITH THIS?!  HERE! The list of all known (for now) artists that she stolen! Some people already contacted some of them about this horrible problem!

By the way, some pictures she is using are taken from shutterstock!  According to the site, a license needs to be purchase for someone to make money of their pictures! I wouldnt be suprised if she took from freelance photographers without permittion.

  Here some Artists who didn’t even knew about that and proof that they don’t agree at all about it!!
