What is HantaVirus?

In the historical spread of Coronavirus, China has reported a death due to a new virus naming ‘Hanta Virus’. The news was given by China Global Times on 24th March 2020.

As per the article from China Global Times, this man was traveling from  Yunnan province to the Shandong Province for work on a bus Monday. There were almost 32 people on the bus who are under observation & testing for the virus.

How HantaVirus spreads?

Hanta Virus refrains from being an airborne virus i.e. it can not spread by air on its own. This virus can only be spread to a person if he comes in contact with feces, urine, and saliva of infected rodents ( species which represent rats ).

The virus is not new and only observed in china but it is also spread in North America, South America, North Korea, South Korea as per the US Centre for Disease Control (CDC).

The HPS is a Deadly Viral Infection which is rarely observed. Tiny droplets of this virus can enter the air. People get infected if they come in contact with the air as well as with the infected host rodents carrying Hantavirus.
