Walking around all day (seriously got in 17,000 steps!) I remember when I first came to live in Paris. _ I was in my late teens, the city felt magical and huge, and expensive as hell (I won't ever forget naively sitting in front of Opéra at Café de la Paix, ordering a cappuccino, croissant and orange juice whilst waiting for a casting and getting a 27€ bill). _ This city gave me so many stories to tell, like the time a thief tried to steal my phone but I chased him down the metro, lunged at him from the top of the stairs and we both fell in a heap. I got the phone back and sprained my ankle in the process 😂📱I was too broke to have to buy another phone! _ Or the fact that I met one of my closest friends in the world @vickyjacksonok , amongst many other amazing friends and colleagues that will always be close to me. Chemical Exfoliation: What is Glycolic Acid? ⚗️ 📝Appertaining to the Alpha Hydroxy Acid family, glycolic acid is used in skincare products to chemically exfoliate dead skin cells from the Stratum corneum (the outermost layer of the skin), and promote cell turnover. Because of this, #glycolicacid is ideal for rejuvenating aging skin, making it more plump, smoothing out fine lines and reduce the appearance of bumpy/textured skin. _ 📌 Of all the Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), Glycolic Acid has the smallest molecule size, which means that it usually is the one to give more immediate results in small concentrations (1-20% for home treatments. Peels done by professionals use 20-70%). _ 📌 Buyer Beware: as with all actives and acids, make sure to introduce glycolic acid slowly in order to see how your skin reacts. If you have very sensitive skin, I suggest you start out with a product at lower concentrations until you build up the tolerance to use a stronger product. _ 📌 Since I have sensitive skin, I personally love glycolic acid for #bodyexfoliation as it leaves my legs and arms glowing. Make sure that if you do use acids on the body, you are adequately using SPF daily as well, as acids increase the skin's sensitivity the sun. My favorite body exfoliator for at the moment is the @miamoskincare Glycolic Acid Exfoliator 3.8% (gifted). _ 📌 Finally, glycolic acid is very common in skincare lines, but consider that if it's paired with soothing ingredients such as aloe juice, green tea, kale extract, or chamomile it might be easier to tolerate as these ingredients will help counterbalance the stinging sensation of the acid. _ _ 🇮🇹 Esfolianti Chimici: Cos'è L'Acido Glicolico? ⚗️ 📝 Si tratta d'un acido che appartiene alla famiglia degli alfa idrossiacidi, e viene utilizzato nei prodotti per la cura della pelle per esfoliare le cellule morte dello strato corneo (la parte più superficiale della pelle) così promuovendo il ricambio cellulare. At last here is my review of the @majolicamajorca.official Lash Expander Long Long Long. Majolica Majorca is a Japanese Makeup brand owned by the @shiseido_corp group. You can find this mascara on @amazon (leaving a link in stories). __ ✨Color: Jet Black ✨Finish: Glossy This mascara is excellent if you are looking to extend your natural lashes and want a dramatic look. It contains little fibres that stick to the lash and create an extending effect, so don't be alarmed if you open the tube and the wand looks "hairy". The wand is a little comb that has bristles that fan out in order the comb the lashes in a half moon shape, so as to make them appear fuller. __ What amazes me MOST about this mascara is how incredible the hold is on the curl. I think regardless of how long your lashes are, the problem is always the same: a mascara that weighs down the lashes looks good as you apply it, but during the day the effect is gone. This is absolutely not the case with this one, the lashes stay curled and beautiful all day. __ Lastly, it is extremely waterproof. I have worn this even while swimming in the sea, and it does not budge. The best way to remove it is with an oil or balm cleanser such as the @clinique Take the Day Off. Who else is easily enamoured by beautiful packaging? I have a particular affinity for anything gold and scented with jasmine or tuberose ✨ Here are some favorites: ◾@caudalie Huile Divine (gifted by a friend) - the most addicting, gorgeous flowery scent I have ever smelled on an oil. ◾@molinardparfums Tubereuse Vertigineuse - bought this bottle on my last trip to Grasse (the perfume central of the world). Immediately fell in love with the packaging and the vintage style atomizer (technical name for the pump). Floral notes combined with amber, coconut and peach. ◾@yslbeauty Touche Eclat - a classic, the first skin illuminating 'highlighter' I ever bought, and will never live without. _ ◾ @acquadiparma_official Gelsomino Nobile Radiant Body Cream - The Gelsomino Nobile perfume was my favorite in my early 20s, this cream brings me back to another time and the scent lingers well over 24h. _ ◾ @tomfordbeauty Lipsticks are the epitome of luxurious beauty. They don't come cheap: $60 for a lipstick is practically insane, but the wearability and texture is unparalleled in my opinion. _ ◾ @diormakeup Diorific Shimmer Pressed Powder (it was gifted to me by my amazing friend @ninaparkbeaute but is now discontinued) _ ◾ @lacomeofficial Red Lipstick (can't even find the name anymore.)
