Lord Momin, Star Wars: Fortress Vader
Returning to Tumblr tonight with one of my latest sculpts in progress, the possessed helmet of Darth Momin. I have been busy during my absence. I hope to share more in the days to come.

DURGE 2018 My first armour costume had been in limbo for over a year. I had taking the kit apart to refine it and discovered it no longer fit. I feared that my body change was due to age. Last year, I learned that it was one of my heart medicines was meant for temporary use. My cardiologist had me discontinued the medicine as it was adversely affecting my thyroid. My metabolism resumed a more natural pace and I found that I could wear my armour again. To celebrate I restored my armour, using new skills to improve the pieces as I went.

Most every visually referenced image for Darth Bane’s Lightsaber. Note; in licensed images his hilt has always been depicted as straight, and mostly with a violet blade.

I research my costumes.

My intent is to mold all three pieces, and use no paint on the helmet. (Casting the binding jewelry and red markings separately in metal and coloured resin.) And I think I have the fabric recipe now that I will use on the final.

I am your Head Man. a costume in tribute to an obscure Star Wars bootleg figure In the late eighties, after Kenner toy had slowed down the production of Star Wars action figures, a Turkish toy company produced a run of bootleg toys under the title Stars War [sic]:Uzay Savaşçılari (Space Warriors.) After learning of this line I was intrigued by the strange out-of-canon creation of a character simply named Head Man. The almost all black-clad Head Man was a kit bashed creation using of the legs and arms of an Imperial Gunner, the torso of an Imperial Guard and the same trooper’s helmet, curiously chromed in gold. I am making this version in a hurry, doing my damndest to get the chroming right. The base helmet was made by another fan, presumably cast off an original. But this does not sit on my shoulders as I would like. I think I need to sculpt a new, better fitting one for a Future update. Maybe explore other chroming options.
