DECIDING THE MOST INTIMIDATING TARANTULA
i will rate these T's by these criteria:
appearance
feeding response
size
COLOMBIAN LESSERBLACK
Tumblr media
These are quick, defensive, gorgeous T's. They are not, however, super or intimidating, nevertheless, an amazing species.
appearance: 10/10 feeding response: 9/10 size: 8/10 ( 8,5in / 22cm )
KING BABOON
Tumblr media
Now we all know that baboons kinda got a reputation as the worst tempered t's. But look at this bad boy showing off his huge fangs in his threat posture. This guy is actually up there with the biggest tarantulas in the world ( 7in/ 18cm )
appearance: 7/10 feeding response: 10/10 size: 7/10
FRINGED ORNAMENTAL
Tumblr media
big, beautiful, fast = impressive.
appearance: 9/10 feeding response: 10/10 size: 10/10 ( 10in / 25cm )
GOLIATH BIRDEATER
Tumblr media
they get huge. HUGE. ( 11in / 28cm ). Only thing is that the coloration isn't the brightest or too appealing in my personal opinion.
appearance: 5/10 feeding response: 6/10 size: 12/10
LAVA SPIDER
Tumblr media
In my opinion, these T's have one of the absolute best colorations. It's bright and in your face They don't get very big, but are still one of my faves :)
appearance: 20/10 feeding response: 5/10 size: 5/10
GREENBOTTLE BLUE
Tumblr media
Arguably the most beloved pet tarantula in the community. Docile and adorable but super impressive appearance. Good feeding response and fairly big size.
appearance: 10/10 feeding response: 7/10 size: 6/10
Winner... u decide! ( King baboon in my opinion )

#1 MISTAKE COLD BLOOD KEEPERS MAKE
A huge mistake many first time reptile, arachnid or amphibian owners make is buying from a chain pet store, and here is why...
Tumblr media
Its so easy to go and buy a pet from a pet store, but its not worth it. I will sometimes pass by a poorly kept tarantula or snake in a small ahh nasty ahh enclosure and want to take it home and give it the care it needs, but this is wrong. Big chain stores like this will mass produce animals if there is a demand for them. The second you buy that poor little cold blood, youre putting another one into shitty conditions. DEMAND=PRODUCTION.
Tumblr media
What to do? find a local reptile/spider store or even better if you find a local breeder. BUT DO RESEARCH. Its important you support those businesses that do no harm to their animals. This may be more complicated and expensive, but its worth it. Respect and take responsibility for your favorite cold blood.
Thats all for today, thank you for coming by, please spread the positive awareness!! Love u cold bloods <3

Let's talk about the frog obsession uprise and how it's toxic.
The all beloved "phrogs" took over the internet in 2021-22, right in the midst of the infamous pandemic. Why? because people got bored and decided it was a good idea to start dressing up their little amphibian friends in bunny costumes and cowboy hats.
demo:
Tumblr media
No, this in it self isn't horrible, it's really cute and that's the problem. You see, frogs like these are super sensitive, they have permeable skin, so whatever touches them they will absorb.
Putting a cute little hat on your choncky boy and snapping a quick pic won't kill it, but handling it with bare hands for as long as a few minutes actually could.
Tumblr media
See, this is not great, you can see that this big boys' skin is pretty dry (not moist enough for a toad or a frog). Plus, all the salts and oils on the human skin would get absorbed by the frogs skin, which is what could actually be lethal for the pet.
Tumblr media
This, on the other hand (pun not intended) is great! the person is wearing gloves as to not harm the animal, and it serves as a great example for random people on the internet.
We all love frogs and toads here, so lets support good animal care and let others know how they could keep their cold bloods safe and thriving. As always thanks for coming by, please share this post to spread positive awareness and let me know what you would like to see in my next posts! <3
(And bonus frog pics of course)

Top 5 friendly snakes <3
Lets start from the fact that snakes are not big fans of snuggles and cuddles. They are mostly solitary creatures and generally view human contact as a threat, they can ,however, be accustomed to handling and actually be docile and calm (and sometimes enjoy your company)...
5. BOA CONSTRICTORS
Tumblr media
This thicc boy is one of my favorite species of pet snakes. They are not only adorable, but also relatively easy to take care of and calm. Not to mention they are easily available and come in a load of different morphs and variations.
4. GARTER SNAKES
Tumblr media
These are great first time pet snakes. I mean they literally live in peoples gardens eating slugs and chilling. They are your friends! Totally easy to handle and are co-habitable with other garters.
3. BURMESE PYTHONS
Tumblr media
These. Get. BIG. Amazingly chill but BIG. Pretty easy to maintain and will need to be fed like one a month or so. I wold personally not recommend for beginners tho because of the size and the fact that they could get pretty intimidating.
2. HOGNOSES
Tumblr media
Easy to recognize these babies by their distinctive little noses (hence the name). They're small, easy and come in great variation. I will say, however, that with the recent rise in their popularity they got pretty expensive, and reasonably so... they're pretty damn cool.
BALL PYTHONS
Tumblr media
Say hello to my #1 favorite snake. They look like they're always smiling, they're gorgeous, and they're amazing with humans. Not intimidating and even great with kids!
Well that's all for today, thanks for coming by! i'd love to hear feedback and suggestions for my next posts. Peace out cold bloods <3
