"Don’t call me." // "I’m not ticklish." // "It’s just rain." // "I want a pet."
“Don’t call me.”
Her lip quivered ever so slightly as he said the words. She feared that it was visible to him, that he would pick up on her charade of strength and laugh at her for the little girl she truly was. But she held her head high and summoned up all of the Scottish stubbornness that she was known for.
“I wasn’t planning to.” She hissed, her words dripping with venom.
In fact that was the opposite of what she truly wanted to do. Karen wanted to go to a dive bar somewhere and drink until all of her problems melted away and then call him to come and rescue her like he always did.
Karen spun on her heel and walked out the door, slamming it shut behind her. She walked two blocks before she felt like she was choking on the tears that she had been holding onto.
“I’m not ticklish.”
“But everyone’s ticklish,” Jade giggled, quickly added a half forgotten ‘sir’ to the end of it.
Marc lips thinned slightly, wondering when she was ever going to give up the ‘sir’. “I’m just not.” He repeated, puffing out his chest. He was determined not to show any weakness because the truth of the matter was that he was in fact extremely ticklish in quite a number of places.
Jade’s eyes glistened mischievously. All of a sudden her small, thin frame was on top of him. Her fingers digging into his sides until he was gasping with laughter. Her fingers seemed to be everywhere at once. His sides, the insides of his elbows, under his arms, not letting up for a second to let him breathe.
Eventually he found his strength and pinned her underneath him. “You’re going to regret that.” He promised in a low voice.
“It’s just rain.”
“Are you sure?” She asked, looking around her almost expecting a crazy killer to jump out of the darkness and kill her.
Patrick just laughed and shook his head. She supposed that it was her own fault for reading creepy things at this time of night, but then again it wasn’t her fault they were all so interesting.
Ash swallowed her fears and looked out the window. Sure enough the outside world was drenched from the light rain. A loud clap of thunder rolled through the house and Ash screamed, jumping back into Patrick’s arms. He just patted her head but she knew that there would definitely be teasing later.
“I want a pet.”
Bonnie looked at him, puzzled by how he thought he could raise a pet in this place to begin with. In fact she had no words for how stupid that idea was. How was he even supposed to get a pet if they weren’t allowed beyond the disgusting coffee shop down the road.
“You’re insane,” she declared, going back to lathering her skin in suncream. Bonnie looked up at Chris to find him still looking at her with those big puppy dog eyes. “I’m not helping you.” She said, her lips thinning but her resolve wavering. He just continued to look at her with those brown eyes that always seemed to get their way.
“Fine!” She threw her hands in the air and then closed the lid on the suncream. “Whatever! But I’m not feeding it and I’m definitely not training it.”
She had to learn how to say no to him.

"We could always just get wasted." // "Give me a chance. Or at least like, half a chance." // "I don’t know, but I probably had sex with him/her."
“We could always get wasted.”
That was the worst idea she had ever heard and two hours ago he was proposing that they play scrabble. She looked at him incredulously. There was no way that she was getting wasted with him again. Especially since she couldn’t actually remember what had happened the first time.
“No,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest. “Not now. Not ever. I don’t care if we’re stuck in here for a week, the last thing I need is to lose all of my self control.”
But then again, the little bit that she could remember of that night… Matt was a very good kisser.
“Give me a chance. Or at least like, half a chance.”
The words were whispers, coming out of her mouth like ghosts. She hadn’t meant anything she did. She was drunk and hurting and Matt was just… There and he understood what she was going though. “Please, Ben.”
Her bottom lip quivered slightly with her small intake of breath as he seemed to be considering it. That second was the most hopeful second of her life. It was the moment between her question and the answer she got.
However, the answer was not the one she hoped for. His eyes, so full of depth and life, closed off from her in a look of utter disgust and contempt. “Next time maybe you should think about the people that love you before you act.” He said in a voice colder than she had ever heard before.
“I don’t know, but I probably had sex with her.”
Ash stared at him, not believing the words that had just come out of his mouth. Was that all his relationships were to him? Fleeting moments of happiness before he grew bored and moved on to the next one? If that was true, how long did she have before the novelty wore off and she would be stranded with a broken heart?
She slipped her hand out of his and straight away he noticed the change in her. He stopped in front of her and blocked her every time she tried to walk around him. Patrick cupped her face gently, as if she were a breakable doll.
“I wouldn’t treat you like that.” He promised, but, to her, his words sounded hollow. “You’re too important to me, Cinderelly.”
Despite herself, she could feel the smile creeping onto her face.

Please Don't Leave Me Again (Ponddragon, Vancouver!Maddman, Siblings!Smillan)
Ponddragon
“Please don’t leave me again.” He whispered. The words were desperate, even to his ears, but he didn’t take it back. The last time she had left him, the world had turned dark and he didn’t think that it would ever be light again. He couldn’t go through life without her. They were just supposed to be together, why couldn’t she see that?
He couldn’t understand why his life wasn’t enough for her. He didn’t understand what this Doctor had that he didn’t. He just didn’t want her to leave in that blue box again and then never know whether or not she would come back.
“Just don’t leave me again.”
Vancouver!Maddman
“Please don’t leave me again,” Richard almost sobbed. “Not for him, please.” Richard was okay with Jenna leaving him for any other reason. But not for Matt, the guy who was supposed to be his best friend. It hurt him in ways that she would never understand.
Siblings!Smillan
She knew that she shouldn’t have told him. She should have listened to that little voice in her head that told her that it was a bad idea to let him in on the dirty little secret that their parents had been keeping from them. And she could see it in his eyes, the disgust as he thought about all the things that they had done together.
“Please don’t leave me again.” She could feel the tears building up in her eyes and flowing over to spill on her cheeks.

"You broke my heart!" // "You’re beautiful when you smile."
“You broke my heart!”
Ash looked at him. Really looked at him. He had the smallest amount of stubble on his chin; not enough to look homeless but enough to look artfully disheveled. His hair was always pushed back, probably from the amount of times that he ran his fingers through it. His eyes were full of the hurt that she had caused him but she knew he would never tell her. She had done it again, she had failed. All everyone ever expected out of her was a picture perfect princess who got her prince and lived happily ever after. No one ever accounted into the equation that Ash would have feelings and that they would get in the way. No one ever accounted for Patrick.
She wanted to say sorry, but the word wouldn’t fit past the lump in her throat. She was more than sorry. She regretted the day she walked out on him. She regretted letting this thing between them get so far. She was sorry that she was never good enough for him, even if he refused to believe it. She knew the truth and that was all that mattered.
“Pat…” She could never take back anything she did. She could never make it right between them. Not after everything she had done. She deserved this broken heart but he didn’t. He didn’t deserve what she had done to him. She had made him open his heart to her and then she stomped all over it. “I understand if you never want to see me again.”
The words burned the whole way out of her mouth. She felt like the world around her was shattering and she was left in the ruins all alone and broken too.
“You’re beautiful when you smile.”
Emma couldn’t help but smile again as she chuckled at Evan. She had never in her whole life, or death for that matter, been called beautiful. The sound of the word warmed her cold body. It sent shivers down her spine and sent a warm rush to her cheeks. She wanted to say something in return, but her words didn’t want to come out. Instead she just looked at him, hoping that that was enough for him to understand what was happening in her head.
Her hand reached up to touch him, like she would have done had she been alive. She stopped halfway and her arm fell limp to her side. She had forgotten for a second that she wasn’t really there and he could never feel her touch. The smile fell from her face as the coldness returned to her body. Life was unfair, she reflected, as was death.

pondlock. prompt; "unrequited"
She had never meant to fall in love again.
When she was younger, she had always believed that there was only ever one person in the world that you were supposed to love. Amy had always believed it was the Doctor. Then she believed that it was Rory. And now, looking at the tall, dark idiot in front of her she knew that it was him; Sherlock. She had never met anyone so infuriating as this man.
Mostly because he wouldn’t willingly do as she wanted him to do. Instead everything with him had to be one huge argument. And somewhere between those shouted words about whether or not it was an alien that was kidnapping people and erasing their memories (or that aliens even existed), she realised that she had fallen in love with him.
She often beat herself up for it, knowing that he could never return her feelings simply because he probably didn’t understand them. But she also knew that there must have been some part of him, deep down, that understood human emotion more than what he was willing to admit.
At least she hoped.
