I am very sad and sorry to announce that I have decided to put the zine project on hold. I did not come to this decision lightly, I really wanted and was trying very hard to get things moving and set up so we could begin this project pronto. I was very excited to start this project, perhaps too excited that I lost track of what I was capable of doing, especially during that time. Things in my life started and kept coming up and I thought I could quickly deal with them and get back to the project. I thought it would just be a small delay. Even as more and more time passed I wanted to have hope and confidence that I would be able to commit the proper time needed, that all I had to do was delay it for a short time. again and again... but unfortunately as you can see it didn't work out that way. I am very sorry for disappointing you all and not coming to this decision and announcement sooner. Thank you all for your mod applications, I am especially sorry for these revelations to have come after you all spent time and submitted your applications, and that I never got back to you all with the results. I chose to delay sending back results until I was sure I could commit, that the project would be happening right then, but I am unsure if that was the right decision, and I understand if you are upset at both this outcome and me not updating you sooner. I understand if you all have lost hope in me and this project. I deeply apologize. I could have handled this all better and been more transparent. As of right now I am going to continue to do research about how to create a fandom zine. figure out what is really doable for me to organize and produce as a first time organizer. The project may end up shifting from the initial idea and plan. My goal is to get the project started back up sometime between April-May. I will try my best to do better with updating you all on the status. Once again, I am very sorry. If people wish for me to send the results for mod apps anyways, I will, but also I completely understand declining and or having lost faith in the project and my abilities as an organizer. Thank you all for being patient, I wish I could do you all better.

Enter the DTIYS for the chance to be picked as the zine’s official logo!

This dtiys is mainly for fun and to spread the hype. All contributors' work will be considered for the final decision of the zine’s logo, but please be aware that again, this is mostly for fun, and in the end we may end up deciding to stick with the initial concept. Rules: 

You may change the image to your liking, as long as it is sfw and is in line with/inspired from our concept and title “Black Hole Fanta-zine.” You are also welcome to submit entries that include the title in them for the chance to be selected as our official project title cover /font.

We request that your primary colors are similar to the Bx3 album

We ask for each participant to have AT MOST two submissions, as to give everyone a fair chance.

Your submission can be any medium. As long as it can be digitized in the end it can be submitted for the logo contest. You do not need to initially submit it digitized though.

You will have until December 14th 2024 to submit your entry either through our official discord or with the #TCWZdtiys. 

If you simply want to do this for fun, and not be considered for the logo contest, please specify in your submission.

Some details as to the reasoning/references of the concept

The black hole - celebrating the newest album Bx3 and as a reference to our server that started this project and the name of our zine “Black hole fanta-zine”

Ribs: "Ribs" Obviously lol. has to be one of my favorites and one of the first songs I heard. And TCW has many allegories and references to bones. So I felt if I wasn't going to go with an animal to represent them, bones would be the next best thing.

Azaleas - reference to the song "Caleb Trask". The Flowers (azaleas) bloom when he is finally ready to love. The flowers in the ribs are not yet blooming, and only begin to blossom after going through the black hole. (extra+ : my discord name is has Azalea in it, so the flower choice is also a nod to myself being the one to start this project)

Zine Update!

Hello and thank you everyone! I hope you are all doing well today. In this update I bring you a few pieces of information! ________________________________________________ - First: The Name of our Zine has been chosen! By popular liking of our discord server and my team, we have decided to title our Zine The "Black Hole Fanta-Zine" 🎉 We express our deepest thanks and congratulations to @pheonixvatoreii for being the one to come up with this title👏 This title was chosen by popular liking, due to it's fun and creative pun of the song "Black Hole Fantasy" and "zine", and because it represents the same mentioned song that our Discord Server, where we came up with this project, is named after. - Next Update. Mod applications should go up either later today or tomorrow. Once again, keep you eyes peeled. We will be accepting 16+ (18+ and experience is preferable). - Lastly: Hope we're not overwhelming you! Stick with us please! We will be having a #DTIYS for our Zine's logo. This quadruples as a fun way to spread awareness, spark creativity, hype people up, and as a potential contest for the final version of our Logo! Information about this DTIYS will go up later today! As we enter into our period of recruiting mods, I, Briar, the founder of this project, will be signing off my posts with the hashtag #Mod-Briar🌹

Hello everyone! Thank you all for your patience with updates, and also thank you all for letting us know your interest level! So far we have had about 20 people interested in helping contribute, which I think is a fine number. To answer one person’s question, I have never run a zine before but have been part of collaborative zines in the past. I really want to make this happen. I will give people a bit more time to spread the news, but what do you all think? If this is a smaller sized project, are people still interested? Again, I will give some people a bit more time to find us and say if they are interested, and in the meantime I am setting things up behind the scenes and soon making a form to try to recruit more mods :D 👍 Expect more news in time ^^ thank you all!
