Actually Captain Jack Harkness is SO important. During a time when we couldn't get a single queer on screen in most shows and even those few we did get ended up dead 90% of the time, he was not only openly bisexual, he was openly bisexual and LITERALLY unable to die.

If there was something that was taking your shape, like an alien clone situation, what do you think would be your tell? Like, how would your team know it's you and not the alien? This is something I think about a lot Jack. Cause I can never answer it. I always hope my friends would just know.

i can't write. did i correct tense mistakes, typos and missing words? yep xD "make me stars" instead of "make me see stars" lacks the undertone but sounds so fucking funny for nothing.

a snort like laugh escapes him as he shakes his head. "i'll remember that if and or when i turn into a pufferfish. i'm actually looking for a companion at the moment, or rather hopefully looking at one." he hoped his hint wouldn't go over jack's head. jack was a smart man, surely he'd get what the doctor was saying. his interest is piqued when jack mentions an alien invasion. "seeing as how the world seems to be in tact and you're alive. i'm guessing you and your team stopped them." he should know how to pick and choose his words and think before he speaks but sometimes his gallifreyan brain goes a hundred miles an hour. he had heard what happened to torchwood and his team but that didn't stop him from talking about them. (works for me :D)

he blinks, then offers the other a genuine grin, almost beaming at the other, perhaps losing a couple years just from the happy smile that stretches his lips.

" lookin' at one, hm? well, if you like what you see, " a wink. " this companion might even be convinced to follow wherever you go. " not that he's hard to convince. it's already more of a yes than a yes would be.

his smile barely fades, but it sours.

" yeah... yea... we stopped them. " his voice drops, smaller and quieter as he shrugs as if trying to get rid of the thoughts in his head.

" funny, i caught a recording made by one of mine... she said you wouldn't have loved humanity then. i kinda agree. good thing you missed out on this one, doc, you might have left us all to die. " perhaps he didn't need the accusation towards the other, really. so easy to bite when hurt, but he'd seen the doctor cruel before. in a way, gwen was right. humanity had been horrible.

torchwood had saved the day by duty more than empathy, really.

and at what cost too.

" but you're not here for that. and it's in the past. " it feels like it happened yesterday " if you want company, who am i to say no. i'm as free as i'll ever be, so whisk me away, doctor and make me see stars. "

that shit-eating grin is back. he does hope it will get him an eyeroll.

He's pushed back against a wall with a blink and confused look. "Jack what are you do.." He's cut off when he feels the immortal's lips on his own. Azi curls his hands in Jack's shirt, kissing him back as he tilts his head back a bit so he doesn't have to stand on his tiptoes but also so Jack has to bend down more.

" he reassured with a small laughter. the puff up of the other's hair almost called for his hand, but he stayed where he stood instead. " not a companion following you like a shadow this time? " one face only. then again, that could mean anything. months, years, decades... it depended simply on how much risks the former doctor had taken. " i've been... " he tucked his hands into his coat's pockets, thinking on what to say before he shrugged. " just got done preventing a world-wide alien takeover. was fun. " he chuckled. " you'd have hated them. " nothing in his demeanor betrayed the actual mess everything had been, jack keeping it level to how they'd discuss aliens invasions before.
