would you ever write for someone else’s durges?

Maybe! I don't have any plans to in the near future, but never say never. Who knows, if inspiration strikes and i got permission, it might happen one day. For now i'm quite content with just writing for default Durge.

Would you ever write non-durgetash ships? Like durge/companions?

I've done that briefly, but still mainly with a Durgetash undercurrent, so idk if that counts. I've definitely considered it though! I have a few Durges I've played that did have in-game romances, so i have a few concepts outlined, but i just don't have the same drive to finish them as i do with Durgetash. Maybe that will change in the future though.

I don't think so, no, not really my thing. There's a lot of cool authors that do though! So i think i'll stay in my lane in this regard

Here he is, Schism AU Enver

He obviouly has more scars (and different teeth) in Schism canon, but this was as close as I could get. I have made him a ranger, mainly because I want a heavy crossbow to be his main weapon.

The beard seemed like a pretty natural place to go, as they ARE spending a lot of time on the road, and I just know he has to shave daily to keep the stubble down. His hair is very slightly lighter (Black/Brown) and he is slightly more tan, just because of the time in the sun. You cannot convince me that man wouldn't tan immediately if he didn't spend so much time inside.

His hair will eventually get longer, but I might be too attached to his dumbass haircut to change it.

I just used the hair unlocked and faces unlocked mod from the in-game mod manager, so I get to add whatever:)

Iirc, Gortash really has his cane in one scene only, where he's posing for a portrait and not actually using it, and we apparently collectively looked at that, slapped his ass and said this bad boy can fit so much chronic pain in him

I know we've talked a lot about the scrying eye from the Goblin Camp, but I gotta admit... I don't think it's Orin or Gortash.

Everyone in the Goblin Camp reported to Moonrise Towers, famously led by Ketheric Thorm, the main face of the Absolute's chosen to their acolytes. Moonrise is also the main place that we see scrying eyes, in a stronghold swarming with magic users to use them, which could indicate that that's their "hub" of sorts. Even though they do report back to Baldur's Gate (Makes the Steel Watcher guarding the entrance to the city hostile if an eye caught you doing a crime), I do think information from the outposts would first and foremost go to Moonrise, as they seem to be Ketheric's responsibility. And since the information in the Gate seems to go through Gortash and his inventions, I think it's safe to say that that bit of information never made it there, as he is unaware that Durge is alive.

And Ketheric is really not that surprised to see Durge when they show up at Moonrise.

If you had shipped a brain damaged murder machine off to become a soldier for your illithid army, I doubt you'd be that chill about them walking into your throne room, seemingly awake and aware. Unless, of course, you had already been warned that they were alive and walking around.

This doesn't solve how Orin knew, but I personally think it would be pretty funny if Ketheric spilled the beans to her and not Gortash.
