The Sea Dreamer

Summary:

A University student on break with a longstanding passion for the sea and a dream of finding 'merfolk'. 

You take a trip every year hoping to spot some....will this be your lucky year, will you find merfolk, give up on your dreams and settle into a 'normal' life or face an unexpected early end...

    "The locals considered you foolish."

    "And maybe you were."

In progress, game functional. Only backgrounds and polish left before the release of the game.

I HAVE FIGURED OUT SFX STUFF!!! :DDD

.....since I couldn't figure out the whole changing text speed at different times thing......unfortunate but, I digress sacrifices had to be made

such as less deaths and demise by water inhalation at regular speeds and not slower

ANYWHO, I have most of the SFX added! Allllll that's left is 2 chunks short handed to 'storm noises' and 'Metnach noises' ....the murder whale needs his added murder noises and rage, for player enrichement :3

THEN I shall finally work on the LAST major chunk of the project VISUAL ASSETS

Character sprites, bg images, and other fun stills and then added polish stuff ٩>ᴗ<)و

I'm excited to share more finally! (.....since only 2 people have REALLY seen much of it and the council has mostly seen snippets of code never played it during WIP stages)

MAIN CODING COMPLETE!!!!

......Now to just go through line by line of dialogue to fix some errors in my wording (the code is FUNCTIONAL but that doesn't mean some areas are....as clear as they could be or lacking spelling errors :' D (....aworken needs to be banished at once.))

Then onto trying out a little polish thing! .......hopefully.

.....and later I can do the OTHER coding but....tis functional, I am pleased

Mermay meets TSAMS mystery project update!

I am ALMOST done the main chunk of coding!!! T^T

I just have one segment of dialogue (....and likely a few choices within that segment to type up.....) BUT that is a majority of the code! :DD

.....I still have more coding to do but it is basically a FUNCTIONAL (....if visually lacking) GAME

....I mean I still have to code in the visuals (once I have them....) and figure out how to add in SFX.....and maybe some other stuff for polish if I can figure out how to code them :' D (....I am very bad at coding.....but it is slowly sticking.......for the simple stuff, I can only do bare bones cause the many many guides)

Prooooooooobably not gonna quite make my (self imposed) deadline of the end of May BUT! I shall keep pushing on and can probably start showing some actual stuff for it on here since it's been pretty vague for anything shared up to now! ^-^

So, that's exciting! (Likely some sketches and some sneak peak wips of some of the visual assets and mayhaps some scrapped stuff (.....unfortunate.......my lack of skills have limited me in some regards....BUT WE FIND A WAY!)

We love this, this is great (.......it can not all fit on the sidebar)

......I'm still coding dialogue and a few options and it is HORRRIBLE LOOKING but it's SOMETHING at least :DD

(....tho it feels more mermay then tsams rn.......just gotta trust the process..................)

I am disappointed by the lack of Judgy Fish....HOWEVER we still have Remorseful Fish and the Murder Whale

....And disappointment of course, can't forget the patent pended disappointment! /ref

Just putting something down as a placeholder to get the barebones down before i fill in the actual dialogue and such but......

I have figured out a roundabout for the code problem! Is it the most convoluted and bulky way rather then the 'right' way baking it messy? YUP.

Do I care? NOPE it works!

And I get to see my silly dialogue finally function without it bugging out :' D
