You’ve heard the saying, “The sky’s the limit.” It’s meant to indicate that you can achieve anything; that humans can reach beyond the bounds of planet Earth and enjoy limitless success. I think it’s an antiquated term. I prefer to believe that the sky is definitely NOT the limit. Why be limited by anything? Strictly speaking, the sky is the space over the Earth where the sun, moon, stars, and clouds appear. But there’s an entire unexplored cosmic universe out there that is beckoning us — a limitless universe that sets new sights and new standards for goal-setting. Why shoot for the sky when you can shoot for the outer reaches of the vast celestial cosmos? Be fearless! Dream big! Be Limitless! Man’s potential goes way beyond the sky. The older I get, the more I'm conscious of ways not to get myself stressed. There are a lot of unnecessary things that we get stressed about. My view is that life is too short. I'm not being melodramatic or anything, but every time I start to get worked up over something, I just think to myself, 'Is this really going to matter in my life tomorrow, in an hour, in a year?' You just can't get stressed about certain things 'cause it's just not worth it at the end of the day. Everything you undergo teaches you a lesson. The question is: Do you have the courage to discover what lesson was taught? Are you brave enough to make use of the wisdom you gained? Life can be really tough, especially in times of coping with setbacks and failures. But I know from experience: everything that happens teaches a lesson – whether you like the lection or not. Often, it took me months to let go of the (ego-based) grief, self-pity, and anger about what had happened. But once that work was done it gave way to a reflective approach to discovering the valuable insights and wisdom that were taught. Remember that this process takes a lot of time. Wise lessons might not immediately catch your attention, but they will come as very profound realizations once you are ready to comprehend them. As we grow older, we are not free anymore. Not being free doesn’t imply lack of time here but as in, we tie ourselves to goals (unrealistic) or trap ourselves behind expectations. We fear being judged. Gone are the days when your silly attempts to try something new were appreciated. We lose that ability to pay attention to details that once you possessed naturally. The joy of exploring, appreciating little things or the pleasure of living at the present moment are things you have forgotten. On a lighter note, this perfectly sums up the transition story: It is funny to think that people long to grow up, but once they do, they wish they never had. It often times takes quite some work to truly appreciate the little things in life. But once you are able to discover all the small joys and all the small wonders in your life, your entire perception of life begins to change. Instead of ever chasing more, you will begin to realise how beautiful your life already is. It will help you to understand that you already have everything you need to live a happy and fulfilled life. So take yourself some time to ponder about the true value of all the little things in your life. Sometimes we wish that someone else could see things from our perspective. If only the world was shaped that way, I wonder how things would have turned out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I mean if this was possible, imagine how easy things would have been, imagine how things would turn out, there wouldn’t be any miscommunications or misunderstandings. Everything would be much more easier, however, its unfortunate that this is the battle we all have to go through. I know it can be difficult to convince others, it has to come naturally and through the trust of others. I believe that trust is the most important and valuable gift we can give someone else. ⁣This happens to be my first visual art post and the start of something unhackneyed. So I wanted to start this journey for the purpose of creating, making, inspiring and innovating. I want this to be a medium for stimulating the mind, showing that impossible is nothing.

We mostly dream to become but fail to do in reality. That’s why I started this journey, to help see that dreams are made possible in reality.

I hope this journey opens the door for greater aspirations and creativity. Journey with me as I take you through my creative thought process.
