Personally I hate AI because it uses slave labor, is killing the planet and is making people stupid, but that's just me. The soulless art aspect is just one little piece of my grander disdain.

Please forgive me for ranting, but...I am so tired of AI. Just so tired. I don't want Microsoft Copilot, or Google Gemini, or Meta AI, or whatever other energy-sucking, water-wasting, mediocrity-spewing LLM is currently being thrust upon me. I just want to be left alone to create in peace.

When did everyone just accept the price increases in everything. No one went 'that's insane' and voted with their wallets. Actually, not only was it accepted in a very short period of time (2022 to now) but people have already assimilated into saying the higher prices are value for money. The cost of living was supposed to be a timed thing, but the prices never dropped, and no one really talks about it anymore. It's so easy for businesses to manipulate with very little pushback. Perhaps once upon a time, the big businesses were hesitant to push, but now they realise a large amount of people simply pay whatever price is put in front of them regardless.
(Obviously essentials don't count in this, because, you need them of course, but this applies to everything else, from just beyond essential all the way through to "luxury")

Relating to that little post I made last night. That it's common to hear this in conversation: "we all know someone who has been changed by consumption of misinformation via facebook/youtube/etc" highlights my point. That, like, most people have witnessed someone go from one belief set to an extremist belief set through that notion. I don't know, it's just scary and feels weirdly like a stealth invasion of sorts. Literal brainwashing in plain sight.

The very real consequences of 24hr rolling news and algorithm driven hatred is seemingly bubbling over globally. If civilisation wishes to continue for centuries beyond this, that will have to be regulated. It just has to. It can't go on like this. It's indoctrination on a global scale. And it's everywhere.

Tired of life, in a non-personal sense, in 2025, just because I feel like it's constantly the same narrative. At other points in time, and in my life, it was there, but it didn't feel all consuming. And somehow, it felt more diverse - I'm talking about global politics in general.
It's like the core issues are everywhere but also less and less nuanced. I guess historians may point to this being a tipping point, when everything converges and channels the same way, when people from across the globe are all consumed by the same story. But it reminds of british summer thunderstorms in the last four or five years. It gets forecast, the clouds build, but the storm never truly breaks and the mugginess just keeps increasing. Maybe you get a brief downpour here and there, but the pressure just keeps increasing with zero relief.

I both love and hate (for obvious reasons) when politics boils down to the most fundamental aspects of upholding human rights, that any opposing to it, can just not be taken seriously at all. Any counter will just make the person saying it instantly looks cruel and callous. And it's like... you've lost. Don't even come back at me. Oh those innocent people do deserve to die, do they? Right. Okay. Like...?

I have been going through the Greta Thunberg tag, and she is getting so, so, so much hate for being on the boat.
She wanted to help the starving children. The aid ship did not get to those in need, because they were captured WHEN IN INTERNATIONAL WATER. The aid ship was purposefully stopped before it could help those in need.
If you think the activists on the boat with food for starving people did something wrong by trying to get food for starving people, take a long look in your mirror and go on a long walk to think about why you feel like that.
